Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Santana leads off with a double, scores, then Vargas picks up Plouffe who's hitting .083, with a 2 run homer! Nice start.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Starting with a bang! I like.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I like that Santana worked out of that mess though I didn't like the mess.
James Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Vargas is now 3 for 3 in the game. That's something to be happy about.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Vargas is now 3 for 3 in the game. That's something to be happy about. And Oswaldo plates him with a double after his latest hit. Good to score from first on doubles...
James Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 And Rosario hits an opposite field home run. So, that's fun too.
gocgo Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Any concerns on Plouffe at this point?
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Any concerns on Plouffe at this point? No one has concerns on Plouffe but me.

gocgo Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Berrios is certainly making his case. 3 solid.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 8 players replaced. All but 3rd base.
James Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I know I declared that the season was over after Hughes' second inning yesterday, but after today's game, I think I can say that the season should be back on. Sorry for the earlier confusion. Go Twins.
nater79a Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Vargas is now 3 for 3 in the game. That's something to be happy about. Anybody know whether the Pirates had the shift on for Vargas's three opposite field hits? If so, that's impressive. Consciously going the other way (at least I assume).
NoCryingInBaseball Verified Member Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Just read the box scores now, didn't follow the game in play. There are some position players and pitchers that are showing some impressive stats! To add to Halsey's statement about Plouffe....I now have serious concerns about him!

You're "seriously" concerned about Plouffe after what, 12-14 PA's in ST? Really? I don't think that's one to lose sleep over at the moment. End of April, mid May? Well, now we have a problem Houston.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Saturday noon game is on FSN, for those wondering.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Got food, and missed the top of the inning... Doesn't seem like i missed that much?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 A couple of fly balls, but I don't remember now what Esco did.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Ricky matches the goose egg. That's as much detail as i'm going to look at. (Though i was hoping for a "strike 'em out throw 'em out" that didn't quite happen.)
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 If you haven't checked the top of the 1st was 7, 4-3, 8.

Two strike outs and a ground out.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Must have been fun for Herrmann throwing out Molina.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Must have been fun for Herrmann throwing out Molina. And i'm glad he did, seeing what happened next... (A dinger, as they say)
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Twins tie it up on the old standby no out first and third ground into a double play. That's selfless play, getting the run in without even getting credit for an rbi.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Meyer works out of a no out bloop double, with a walk, pair of strike outs, and dribbler to second. Not too shabby.
