Vance_Christianson Provisional Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I know Hicks made some mental errors yesterday, but I'd much rather see Hicks in CF and Schafer in LF. Just Saying.....Hermann is great on AAA, and we can call him up when we are in a pinch.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 My vantage point for today's game.
ericchri Provisional Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Okay, who wrote out that lineup in the first post? That is some crazy good handwriting (I can't write on a whiteboard for you-know-what), especially with all those huge loops and stuff on some of the letters.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 sO what happened, Hunter gets a hit with 2 on and an out is recorded. gameday is all messed up
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Hunter hit a little blooper just over the 3rd baseman. Dozier was on 2nd and tried to score. Was out by mile. Didn't see if Glynn sent him or not.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Plouffe had a very long at bat resulting in a strikeout.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 And the double hit by Brown over Hunters head ... hmm, Humter seemed not move. Maybe he didn't catch it off the bat right away

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Was he out by a Country mile, or just a Grapefruit League mile?A negligible difference.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Bases loaded, no outs. And only one run scores. Whatchya gonna do.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I thought the days of three catchers in one starting lineup were over?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 My guess is they are trying to ease Pinto back into play having been out with a quad strain.
NoCryingInBaseball Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Maybe I don't get an actual timeline by watching Gameday, but May seems to have retired the side rather quickly.

Anyone with eyewitness confirmation or refutation?

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Must I be an eyewitness to issue a refutation? I know what he did last year, I'm definitely not a big fan. I'm just wondering about today and ST in general (ie, anything he's doing differently, recovered from his neck situation, pick-up in velocity, etc.).
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Looks like Herrmann is getting his timing down.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Got out just in time. With two octogenarians in tow, it was enough heat and humidity after 7 innings.
