Is Darvish's injury an opportunity from the Twins?

Ken Rosenthal is reporting that Yu Darvish of the Rangers could be facing TJ surgery. Would the Twins be a trading partner for maybe Mike Pelfrey or Rick Nolasco? Or anyone else?

Doubt Texas expects to contend, especially after losing Darvish. Not that Nolasco or Pelfrey would necessarily help them contend...

I don't think anyone in need of starting pitching is calling the Twins.

They could have signed Chris Young for a million bucks plus incentives. I doubt they would have interest in the Twins high priced flops.

Agree with you all. Maybe the Rangers aren't interested in our "high priced flops" (good one), but we are in the time frame where more injuries could force teams to look elsewhere for that fifth starter. Something could happen IF we have a strong battle for our 5th SP. Logjams do have a tendency to sort it out, I guess I was just trying to help it along.

I doubt we could give Nolasco or Pelfrey away.  Teams are looking for better options than that.

The Rangers are not on Cole Hamels' no-trade list. Just sayin'...

I suspect the Twins will be trading someone this spring, not quite sure if it will be Milone or Pelfrey, but one will go.  My gut says one goes for some extra international cap money to a team that either won't spend it all, or who was penalized for spending too much.
