Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I think they should just remake Kurosawa. Oh, wait...
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Isn't the first preview tomorrow?
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 Isn't the first preview tomorrow? That's the word on the street, but It very, very limited. It will only be playing at the AMC at Southdale tomorrow. http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-force-awakens-tease-theater-list

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Trailer #2 - I like what I see.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 It doesn't really show much! I just watched it before here.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 It doesn't really show much! I just watched it before here.To me it shows enough to get excited about - especially when I am a few months short of turning 40 and see that the rope I am clinging to (the rope of youth) is frayed and about to snap - allowing me fall into the abyss of middle agedom. As you can probably surmise, I am excited to turn 40.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 40 isn't bad.....50 is less good, but much better than not turning 50. And, I just watched it on my phone, cannot wait!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 40 isn't bad.....50 is less good, but much better than not turning 50. And, I just watched it on my phone, cannot wait!Yeah ... 50s aren't so bad ...
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I am excited to turn 40. The Old Age of Youth; wait ten years for the Youth of Old Age.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 40 isn't so bad. I generally feel pretty good but, damn, I can't drop five pounds to save my life anymore.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 This movie premiers on my birthday. Got to wonder if some theater will do a marathon of episodes 1-6 (ok, maybe skip everything but Darth Maul in episode 1) and finish it with the premier showing of 7.

Disney knows how to cash in.

Zachary Verified Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Nerd time: Um, you do realize that Luke used the Force to hit his target, not his eyes, right? :-) Fair enough. Double dumbass on me. I wouldn't have known why the Death Star blew up, then. Well, I'm not entirely sure what aspect of The Force that Luke was using.. but if he was simply using Physical Force to guide his Laser... wouldn't he still need to see the target to know where to put it? Hmm... That would mean Ashbury's Lens theory would come back into play..
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Oh, man ... who could sit through that marathon? I mean it's what ... 11 movies and 26 hours or some such? 7 movies, roughly 2-3 hours a piece. I'm guessing the clone wars cartoon movie wouldn't happen. You'd have to do something like that one of those theaters that allow you to order lunch and dinner too, but if one out here is doing it, I'm kicking around getting a seat... Biggest thing would be to get up and walk around from time to time.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 No, I mean the marvel marathon they are having before 'the age of ultron' comes out ... that's 11 movies Since I already own them I'm watching at my leisure prior to Age of Ultron's release.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I take it that means you won't being taking me to that mom. Drats! If I could stay up for that whole marathon, I would. Maybe that would be one of those 'Youth of Old Age' things Ash was referring to.
