Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Anyone here watching? Exciting from the start.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'm watching. Debatable as to whether i'm all here or not...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Well, if we want to get philosophical, who really is all here? But as for the game, just hoping to see some joy at the end of it!
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'm here, but not all there. Which may be neither here nor there, anywhere. Tuned in too late and missed the excitement in the bottom of the first, though.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Ryan disproves the old adage that Flaherty will get you nowhere. Now 2-1 Royals.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 I wish I had really looked ahead at my schedule and done some planning and tried to get tickets to these games in KC. Could've gotten in a game or two before leaving on tour with the orchestra. Although, that might've made me nuts considering how I get for any travel let alone a 2 1/2 week tour.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Okay, I liked that car commercial. It made me want to give it a test drive, anyway.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Can't believe its only the bottom of the 3rd,
James Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'm now listening. I forgot it was an early game today. Glad to see the Royals taking the lead at this point. And that Delmon Young just hit into his second double play today.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Okay, I liked that car commercial. It made me want to give it a test drive, anyway.Good Viagra ad just now. I just wish she was selling Carl's Jr burgers instead.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Geez, did they have a microphone in that fence? Ka-THUNK.
James Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Good Viagra ad just now. I just wish she was selling Carl's Jr burgers instead. This postseason.... so many Viagra commercials. So, so many.
James Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'm listening to to the Royals broadcast on MLB radio. Apparently, Bill Curtis of MPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me." and crappy cable TV's "Forensic Files" does commercials for Boulevard Brewing Company. I think that's neat.
ashbury Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Geez, did they have a microphone in that fence? Ka-THUNK.That was a catch, all right.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 KC leads game 4 by score of 2-1 after 8. Show time.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 THE ROYALS WIN!!! THE ROYALS WIN!!!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 This has been some great baseball!
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Wake up, ChiTown. You are dreaming. None of this really happened.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Good for the Royals. A long time coming.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Wake up, ChiTown. You are dreaming. None of this really happened. I think this applies to me as well... I was perhaps awake for half the game, on and off. But i think i caught the meaningful parts. l certainly caught the catch, and every run what scored, and the end. Though maybe they just replay those parts so much it didn't matter... Congrats for the Royals! Thus far, i think my favorite ex-twin moment was Willingham's pinch hit against the A's. Though i do like seeing Neshek work.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Congrats to the Royals, and especially their fans. I want that feeling again.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 When was the last time Delmon missed the playoffs? EDIT: I looked it up - he's been on a playoff team every year since 2009. His first year with MN was the last time Delmon Young did not appear in the playoffs! Crazy. He's a lucky dude.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Delmon Young, proven winner.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 With the Royals and Giants in, it looks like the wild card isn't such a bad place to finish.
