Here's a silly question - has there ever been a player traded around the deadline from a team who played a suspended game to the other team playing that game.  And the next day when finishing that suspended game plays against his former team thereby appearing for both teams in the box score.

I guess theoretically it could happen.

I think your answer is here:

I finally realized why I don't have the "ad problem" that some of you complain about ....

I always have my laptop set on mute.   :)

Which I do some of the time.  But sometimes I like to browse with music on ... like often ... and then that comes on .. ugh!

Lol, I get used to having it on mute because it drives the dog nuts when the computer talks at her.

Lol ... yep.  Or ... could just be any area of town along the lake shore ... but that's a pretty ridiculous line as there isn't an 'East side' like there is a 'North Side,' a 'West Side' and a 'South Side.'

Heh ... yeah, those critters are sensitive.  :)

I also sometimes watch the game on my computer ... so ... sound, sigh ...

Fun fact, my great grandpa was a bootlegger for Al Capone.

That's Awesome... As long as he was a nice bootlegger.

Huh, small world.

So was my younger brother.

Sigh...baserunning blunders.

Speaking of blunders, how do you not pop Jamie Hersch on screen when she's giving a report?  C'mon, some of us would like to see her!!

BASERUNNING BLUNDERS!!!!

WTF is Ullger saying to him down there at 3rd?  Dozier could have been Speedy Gonzales and the Road Runner tied into one and would have had no shot at scoring there.

No idea. I never got to meet him.

Another fun fact, the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens happened on my great grandpa's and grandpa's land. It was on the other side of the family though.

Cool but not.

Bootleggers around here hid the booze in cast iron monuments in the cemetery (sides had screws that could be removed) for later pick-up.

Was listening to Paper Lace "The Night Chicago Died"

The first line is "Daddy was a Cop... On the East Side of Chicago"

Is there an East Side of Chicago? Wouldn't that be Lake Michigan?

My useless trivia for the day -- the songwriter was British and was not familiar with Chicago at all.  My older brother had the 45 and I used to wonder who Chicago was and that it was sad that she died (I was pretty young, and not a gifted child to begin with).

I am going to pretend that base running did not happen.. Those two extra days working on fundamentals in spring training did not seem to be enough (or did they do that in 2013).

I'm afraid to ask for your definition of "Pop".

I can't put my finger on it... But there is something nefarious about your roots.

Your Grandmas probably what... Brought Polio to America?

Paper Lace was from Nottingham... Right by Robin Hood and the all those characters.

Sorry, control room-speak for putting an image on the screen.

Why were you listening to that? I can't imagine that ever happening. Not intentionally, anyway.

It happened... Walked right into it... And I sung along

I have heard it will be Sir Paul's encore at his Target Field concert.  He considers it, and much of Paper Lace's songs as under appreciated classics.  The part where they make noises like a clock ticking was considered revolutionary at the time.

Over the past four seasons, my interest level in the Twins has gone through three phases in descending order, roughly in thirds:  'Reasons I can't watch the Twins game' phase, 'Reasons I decide not to watch the Twins game' phase, and 'Reasons I decide that I will watch the Twins game' phase.

This occurred to me as I realized that I had told myself that I should try to be able to watch tonight because Hughes is pitching.  Hoped he would be an upgrade, liked the relative youth and upside, but never expected this from him.  Too bad the ERA masks how good he's really been.

Holy cr...cow!  The Twins just got a hit on an 0-2 pitch.

That makes it something like 1 for them, and 1260 for the opposition.

I was at the game last night in Kansas City since I only live about 2 hours from there. I would like to point out that the Twins are 2-0 in games I've attended this year, and I've worn the same shirt to both games. Who is buying tickets for me for the rest of the year so we can make a playoff run?

To appease the baseball gods, you must not wash the shirt or you will jinx your streak.

Capone owned Lake Michigan

My dad grew up on the Southside. Capone's boys dumped a body in the yard next door. Nice little neighborhood ya got here. Be a shame if something happened to it.
