Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 That's a speedy OF.Definitely!! I like it!
jcldkcmo Provisional Member Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Plouffe at 3rd scares me a little.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Plouffe at 3rd scares me a little. It could be scary, but this is good news. Hey, we all had to learn how to ride a bike when we were kids and we all for the most part sucked and then became pretty good at riding a bike. Let's give Plouffe a friendly push, give him some time, and hopefully he will become pretty good at playing third base. The Twin's really don't have anything to lose on this as there really is no more to lose. Time is something we have this season. I hope it works out.
mhanson93 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Marquis is off to another typical Twins pitching performance.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 My God, this team is bad.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 How does a player score from second on a fielder's choice?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 This is like watching "The Natural" except that there is no Robert Redford sitting on the bench.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Jason Marquis is in his 6th organization in 7 years. Perhaps there's a reason for that.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Mauer comes through with that groundout to second every time. The guy is automatic.
Kneelb4zerg Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 This team is the worst thing in the history of everything. All time.
adjacent Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Plouffe at 3rd scares me a little. And now we know why
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Why do we have komstsu and why do we play him every day?
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Komatsu has one of the worst looking swings.....
adjacent Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 It looks like Plouffe misses Valencia and wants to join him in Rochester.
deanlambrecht Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 This is like watching "The Natural" except that there is no Robert Redford sitting on the bench.More like the Bad News Bears, even. Coach might as well be drinking, to boot.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I would bitch about Perkins being in the game, but down 4 in the 8th is probably what qualifies as "high leverage" for the Twins these days.
adjacent Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Perkins: One walk is no problem when followed by 3 Ks
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 WE should all be drinking. But maybe y'all are.
twinswon1991 Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Why do we have komstsu and why do we play him every day? Because Gardy must always have his cute little no talent all hustle guy in the lineup: hocking, punto, redmond, butera, carroll, clete, komatsu, on, on, on, on. What a waste of a roster spot!

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Awful team, terrible upper levels in the farm system, a GM that doesn't believe in big time free agents, a team that cut it's payroll in year 3 of a stadium (with, I think I've read, teh 5th highest ticket prices, really?), 25% of your money in one player.....the future does not look so bright.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 8-23. The Twins are now 4 games behind last year's 99-loss pace after 31 games.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Considering the size of the payroll, this might just be the worst professional baseball team ever assembled.

Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 The Twins record would be substantially different with better starting pitching, but that starting pitching has to average out at some point. That is hopeful, I know. Again this team is hampered by the immensely stupid contract handed out to Nick Blackburn. Like Nishioka, it is going to be time soon to cut the losses and try someone else. Marquis is better than Blackburn, but he is next.
