Wow. You lost me at "Mauer hasn't had a particularly positive impact on games this year." I know what you are getting at but this is silly.

1) Slowey was never a groundball pitcher 2) Slowey was great in '08, but the line drive to the wrist at the end of the season was devastating. That pin he eventually had put in his wrist made it hard to get as much movement on his breaking stuff IMO.

Saying that Guerra has no chance to pitch in the big leagues isn't "fact" or "brutal honesty," it's an ignorant opinion that may turn out to be true by virtue of dumb luck.
