James Verified Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Seth, something is wrong here. I'm assuming either Mauer of Doumit is actually playing first. Two catchers seems a little redundant.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Plouffe at second against a RHer. Interesting.
Dougmancaveitch Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Seth, something is wrong here. I'm assuming either Mauer of Doumit is actually playing first. Two catchers seems a little redundant. Its a bold move.
Neinstein Provisional Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 should try 2 Catchers when Liriano's pitching.
James Verified Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Mauer is at 1BThat is what I assumed. I was hoping someone would make the pun and say "nice catch". Too bad.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I was hoping someone would make the pun and say "nice catch". Too bad.I think it's somewhere in this thread. Checking again... ah yes, one post up from mine.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Ah, fun with Nick Blackburn!! I mean, for Red Sox hitters!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Another great day to be Twins fan (tongue in cheek)!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Prediction: in there post game, we'll read Blackburn was "too strong" after 10 days off.
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Cant believe he got out of there only giving up 3 runs....we'll see how long Blackburn lasts tonight....
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Has anyone else noticed the Willingham looks much more passive at the plate the past three games and this AB, rather than attacking pitches?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 And Morneau continues to be way too aggressive.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Way to fight Justin!!! Great comeback in that AB!!!
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 heck of an at bat by Justin.
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 followed by a terrible at bat by Doumit....
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 And why not take another pitch Danny? Put pressure on on struggling pitcher close to being tossed for arguing!
Scheherezade Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 One run on one hit isn't so bad, but Morneau/Doumit/Valencia were definitely thinking only grandslam.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 How do you only get one out of that?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Three guys walk in front of you.... so you swing at the first pitch. Get a better plate approach... that goes for the entire team but Doumit and Danny especially in that inning. Careful chief, you'll soon be attacked for daring to make critical comments.
Kneelb4zerg Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Valencia didn't swing at the first pitch. Agree that Doumit had a bad AB.

gil4 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Prediction: in there post game, we'll read Blackburn was "too strong" after 10 days off. It's now the top of the 3rd. If we have to wait for the post-game to hear it, I will be surprised.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 What do we have now, one or two quality starts on the year? Well, at least they're trying hard and with good sportsmanship!
gil4 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 We have 13 pitchers. Can we try another one?
Kneelb4zerg Verified Member Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I hear boo-birds! Hope they are booing Mauer since he's obviously the main problem with this team!!!
