Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 When's the last time we hit a grand slam? We get about one a year, while other teams hit something around four a year. Sorry I don't have any stats, but I think I'm right. "I think I'm right, therefore I am" - Hamlet (actually, I was thinking the same thing, about the same thing...)
howeda7 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Passing a kidney stone is beyond aggravating. Walking 20 miles through a desert without water or clothing is beyond aggravating. If playing Suzuki has reached that level? I'm turning the TV off. But a kidney stone eventually passes. Gardy's love of certain scrappy veterans is forever.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Nah, they put him in the Twins cap bullpen car with an intern behind the wheel. And before anyone becomes angered over them not using public transit, word has it that it's a tri-brid that runs off electric, gas, or Twins Way. Yeah but Pittsburgh is a long trip. Can you fit a used urinal trough on that little bullpen car? Didn't think so.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I hate not scoring when bases are loaded. Was going to reply with a cheerful 'At least they're getting on base!', but for some reason then thought 'No, at most they're getting on base'... http://eastinstudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/eastin11.jpg

Sorry I don't have any stats, but I think I'm right. The Twins hit one grand slam a year... All Years are 365 days... All days start with breakfast... Therefore Grand Slams start with breakfast.

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 If we're going to watch the catcher throw it into the outfield, I'd rather see Pinto do it.

Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 RB, I know people who hunt game, but I don't know anyone who threads it.Quail eggs? How would you prepare them? Poached on a Muffuletta?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I love the yolk! Especially if I can push my toast around in it. LOL. I liked to do that as a kid. But at some point I just got to the point where I couldn't stand them unless the yolk and white were well-combined. Even if I eat a hard-boiled egg (maybe once a year), I have to mush the white and yolk together.

The fact that this might be the highlight of my day might not be a good reflection on my life... Omelet with bacon, but I do like a good egg salad sandwich (also with bacon and maybe some cheese and tomato).
