Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Thielbar's got this. That's what she said.
Guest Guests Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Textbook example of why the 1972-1974 world champion Oakland A's would bring their best reliever into the game in the seventh inning when the other team was rallying. I'm sure there's some good reason why saving him for a now non-existent save opportunity is good strategy. Or maybe it's a case of collective delusion, such as the need for speed at shortstop, instead of someone with good fielding statistics.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 No. But Gurrier has no business being on the team, much less pitching with the bases loaded. Leave Duensing in. Bring Thielbar in. Bring Swarzak in. Almost anything but Gurrier. Guerrier clearly has no business being on this team. I have been a pretty big supporter of the Twins leadership group, but man they make it difficult!

Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 That's what she said. And she was happy with the result.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 How many of the Twins' 17 pitchers have a swing-and-miss pitch?

Sorry for my nativity but who that last team that did this on a consistent basis?

Not to mention the fact that the rug really pulled the room together.

Just coined it tonight, but check urban dictionary in a week or two, gonna be huge. And should have said 'album cover' instead of 'cover'. Beyond that, it is what it is.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 How many of the Twins' 17 pitchers have a swing-and-miss pitch? We don't hang on to those guys.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Well, the pitch to AJ looked inside, but I thought Duensing had Ortiz struck out, maybe twice. I guess you don't call out a silver slugger on a borderline pitch.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Not a good inning, but at least Nolasco gave us a chance.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Glorm's got this. It would help if the Twins made better roster decisions, and Gardy made better bullpen decisions.
