    I will say he had a helluva at bat to walk in an important run yesterday. It included taking a close high ball for ball 3. That call can and has gone either way recently and underscores how sometimes things out of a player's hands can greatly impact the narrative. He has also had many rockets caught recently. But yes I would move him down the order for now.

    The new schedule format is going to give us the opportunity to see a lot of different teams. Seattle, St Louis, Arizona, Philly, Pittsburg, Milwaukee, Texas and the Mets coming up. Variety is the spice of life.

    I'm really happy with how this season has turned around for Jax. Maybe it was just tough luck early on. The Twins took a guy who looked like he had a ceiling of a #4 - 5 starter, fringe major leaguer, and developed him into a late inning weapon. 20 straight innings, very nice. Bullpen arms are notoriously volatile in performance and they don't last long. I wouldn't mess with this winning formula, I would applaud it.

    I don't think a detailed explanation has been offered. Usually if it's an ACL, they will say so. In this case they just said he was getting a procedure done on his knee in the last off-season. I was thinking a cleanup, something to do with cartilage. I still think that is the case and it leads to fears of a chronic condition that may not improve.

    Bout freaking time on Wallner. He has been in St Paul for about a month and a half. Just as he starts to cool down a little, they give him the long overdue call. It would be ideal if he just took a job in the bigs and ran with it. I thought he was in the process of that 1.5 months ago, but what do I know?

    Ouch. Doesn't mean he can't have a great career, maybe he should talk to Lewis about getting through back to back surgeries. Man it is amazing how many pitchers get this surgery, I just learned that Pablo Lopez has a rebuilt elbow. These guys are obviously pushing past the natural limits.

    I agree but aren't the picks made by Sean Johnson who has been with the team forever? Maybe it's a combination of him getting better at his job and the Twins doing a better job of developing some of these players?
