  1. The MLB at bat app let's you listen to any big league game and you can choose which team's ratio broadcast to listen to. You also get video of every MiLB game on demand. It's now $29.95 a year. If Lewis pitches innings 1-5 of a game you could just go watch those half innings and fast forward the rest. Sometimes I wonder why I pay the $93 a month for the big league club. It keeps going up in price, but it's still a huge value.
  2. This is where I'm at. Pretty much on par with last year. So I voted 84-88 and I'm surprised so many were more optimistic than me. The division is theirs for the taking, now if they added a quality starter they would be true contenders.
  3. Tom F is going to blow a gasket if people keep forgetting 4th round pick Andrew Morris, lol.
  4. Certainly much is riding on that '22 class of college pitchers they have been developing. This will be a big year watching that unfold in Cedar Rapids and Wichita. Gotta tune in!
  5. Yes they are definitely not perfect! This draft was an anomaly due to covid, just stacked with talent so many got well there. But yes they did win the lotto
  6. Keith Law has his new top 100 out and the Twins landed 3 in the top 50 and 4 in the top 100. Jenkins 15, Lee 31, ERod 47 and Gabby G at 96. You have to give some credit to a front office that has taken a franchise from the ashes to multiple playoff appearances, breaking the streak and winning a short series. They graduated what could be considered the Twins best performing rookie class of all time, but still took what was considered a middling farm with depth, but missing top talent and added that top shelf talent. Yes the big club still needs pitching, lol. https://theathletic.com/5245693/2024/02/05/top-100-mlb-prospects-2024-keith-law/
  7. Lopez really grew or improved as the season went along. He was his strongest and best version of himself come playoff time. His improvement would be to sustain those gains over a full season. Very likely. Ryan looked great in the first half and had that splitter working. In the second half he had a strange combination of hitting a wall (again), getting injured and then apparently hiding the injury. Hopefully he learned and can focus on the fortitude it will take to perform at a high level consistently. Some improvement is likely. Ober finally got through a season mostly unimpaired. All he has to do is continue work on his arsenal and finish strong. Likely. Paddock probably feels stronger than he has in years with his new elbow and a year of working out. Combined with arsenal refinement, it is very likely he has his best year in a long time. 125-150 innings. This is doable. Varland has only had a short stint starting in the majors. It started well but he ran into trouble. This is his chance to prove he can be more than a fringe starter. Louie's eye opening run as a reliever will instill a confidence that will spill over into his starting. Some improvement is very likely, how much is to be determined. DeScalfani may be stronger after resting his elbow. I'm not counting on it and hope if he falters, they move on promptly. 😂 Obviously this is a pretty optimistic look at things. That is why they call me fan.
  8. Varland does not have an innings limitation. In '22 he pitched 150 innings and just under that last year while being moved to the pen down the stretch. With his healthy track record, as a full time starter he could easily surpass 175 innings this year. Unless of course he finishes up in the pen again.
  9. With 162 games a year aren't they relegated to more regional coverage? There are just so many games I can't see the major broadcast networks offering more than a few games of the week in a few times slots. That works for the NFL, but it's minimal coverage of MLB. Apples to oranges. Plus I just think the intense, gladiatorial nature of football has a more universal appeal.
  10. Family of five here and I agree. That is why I kept mentioning wanting an ala cart option to just watch the Twins. Right now my best option that I know of is Fubo. If that changes please let me know!
  11. If you don't like bat flips and homerun watching it doesn't get much more egregious than this. Personally it made me smile. Pretty sure Ryan got plunked the next day, so your sentiment lives on. Be sure to watch to the end for full effect. https://www.mlb.com/video/will-smith-in-play-run-s-to-ryan-jeffers
  12. I just checked and TDS is not available where I live in the Duluth area. Still the best bet up here is Fubo at $93 a month all in. It's not perfect but it does have unlimited DVR unlike DStream/DirecTV whatever which has a very limited DVR and was up to over $120 when I kissed them off.
  13. I'm not so sure they are done. I think it would be prudent to reserve judgement until spring training starts. Heck even a few days into spring training. The CS signing probably signals that Miranda's comment about feeling good only some days means he still may not be right.
  14. If this is the big right handed bat, there are two things that will happen. They are relying on in house depth for center. They will use the new Bally's windfall to afford their new high upside starter addition! Lol
  15. Always keep in mind that draft was uniquely loaded in a unique situation, many teams got well.
  16. I was on DStream or Direct TV before last year. It started off at $90 a month and by the time I switched to Fubo last year it had gone up to $120+ (of course). So last year I started on Fubo at $93 and change after tax etc and this year it is still the same. I was hoping to drop it and just steam the Twins ala carte this year, but apparently that's not a thing yet. My wife still likes to DVR shows etc, but I could drop it all and only take all my content ala cart. The future is not here yet. I'm waiting, but in the meantime I will pay what it takes to watch the club.
  17. Seems like I may be your man, keep me in mind!
  18. I'm just glad I didn't have to do anything.
  19. Well there you go I agree with all of that. I do think there is a chance DaSclafani has a bounce back and provides value. That chance is likely small. If they don't flip him I hope they shut him down if he is not performing and move on. I did just hear that there is a chance the Twins sign a one year deal with Bally's for 85% of the 55m deal. If that is the case, then offer Tony D to Pittsburgh or whatever and go get a pitcher.
  20. Geez would people really give up that much for one year of Burnes? Seems crazy and unsustainable to me. Polo's gone. How is your infield depth now without Lee? How about your rotation depth next year without Varland? It's not something I would do.
  21. Your wish is my command! https://twinsdaily.com/forums/topic/66043-twins-daily-2024-top-prospects-9-brandon-winokur-sscf/
  22. Maybe he's 36 https://theathletic.com/5231394/2024/01/27/mlb-age-falsification-identity-fraud-dominican-republic/ Gads I actually feel guilty posting this because I like Polo so much. I kant hep it
  23. I agree with your post and think we have not seen the best of Kirilloff. Julien was dinged up towards the end of the season with a hammy or something and his numbers were effected.
  24. That doesn't seem to be true anymore. The Latin players have brought a more outwardly exuberant style to the game which I like. The all-American kid, Jeffers with his American flag headbands, had about the biggest bat flip last year I've ever seen. I'll bet the vast majority of players like this style of play. They watch NFL players on Sundays, why should those guys have all the fun?
