    Well the first round pick was quite a bit better than average or poor during that stretch, definitely looks the part and appears to have some talent. People complain they gave up on Ortiz so quickly and Gibby? It's been hard for some to come to the conclusion that's it's time to cut bait. If it keeps going the way it has and he shows up in the rotation next year then I will be steamed.

    Dialled in! He was probably pretty shook up for awhile. He is showing his fortitude now. I like that the FO can be plain spoken at times. Levine said Polanco was a second baseman but if nothing else he would benefit from his time at short. I think his future is bright.

    When the young man is on he has two out pitches. Got em with the fastball (low or high) got em with the curve. Super fun to watch. As Doc said above the future of the pen is bright and I also agree we should sign one proven arm. The one thing i may not agree with is Pressley. He's got the stuff but maybe not the make up, we'll see

    Busenitz, Duffy and Hildenberger ah it's about time! Let the young guys roll!

    Enns was further along and entrenched in AAA when we got him.

    I am sure Belisle is enjoying this run. Busenitz on the other hand!? He even got teased with a little warm up last night. Molitor has used Hildy more which is good but this was a perfectly set up opportunity to burn some pitches and get another look at what you got with Busenitz. Maybe the FO feels the same and this could be a little nail in Molly's coffin. Excited to see what we have in Enns

    Mauer gets derided on many levels including his personality. Playing first base has been an opportunity to watch him interact with other players and he gets nothing but smiles. The guy might just be likeable despite his public persona. He also is super smooth in the field and makes it look easy.

    where the heck is Busenitz ? Hildy has poise. Seems to have an unique but versatile arsenal. Is like to see more of him. Rodgers has been rocked but he made a couple of nice pitches today. Got pulled at the right time. I really want to see more of these young guys the rest of the way now. Wins and losses are of less importance now.

    Well I just think with pitching as scarce as it is it would be tough to give up Santana. The cleanse i would do on the staff is to flush Colon.... sorry couldn't help it

    The thing I don't understand with this often stated line of thinking is how do people think it is easy to replace this kind of pitcher in free agency? Seems to me of all the past signings he is the only one who panned out. It would have to be a huge haul for me to be on board.

    Sports seem to be the most racially integrated area of our society with some dominated by minorities. Watch sports media versus the overall media where minorities are more than well represented.

    Even though it may be counter intuitive on the surface I liked this deal better if we picked up the money. Maybe Falvey is smooth enough to pry cash from a bankers white knuckled clutches

    I don't think Colon needs to be mentioned when discussing the rotation going forward. Meijia sent down? I think he's easily been our third best starter. For a few games he was out performing all the others. Needs to learn to finish guys off. I had finally given up on Gibby the Nibbly but, sucker that i am, he's got me hoping again! Gibby!     Can't say I have a problem with going to Rodgers at that point, it has worked all year. I would like to see Molitor go to Hildenberger more often. He was surely rested. And where the heck is Busenitz?
