Very nice win. A depth win. What I want to see is Rocco getting a win today without using Rogers, Dyson or Romo.

Odo vs Minor tonight. Let's keep this rolling! This could be a tough matchup, but I think the squad will pony up. I'm ready for another exciting tilt, baby!!

Right now I would have the Duffmaster and Mayday May ahead of Harper. That puts him at number six in the pecking order. We were up by three but if it was me I felt that was too important for number six. A guy like Harper is a bit gimmicky and you gotta pick your spots.

Twins aquire a win! A couple of weeks ago it was assumed it would be Romo in the eighth and Dyson for the ninth. It will be interesting to see if Dyson can make that a possibility.

Front Page: Assessing Jose Berrios' Pitch Arsenal
wabene replied to Cooper Carlson's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This was great, thanks. I was thinking the same thing about how difficult tracking these pitches would be, damn. With the naked eye you can see how filthy Berrios is sometimes. The key for him is a strong finish this year. It will be fun to watch. -
Maybe but he didn't look comfortable and once they started him he changed completely.

Our two most effective/efficient pitchers today had 88 mph fastballs. Maybe they won't figure Smeltzer out just like Romo.

Perez has a 7.56 era as a reliever this year giving up 7 earned runs in 8 innings pitched with a 2.4 WHIP. Be careful what you wish for.

We need Odo to step up today. Cleveland's got a favorable pitching matchup today with Bieber on the mound. Damn, I guess today I started scoreboard watching.

What is not to like about Mr Cruz? At his age you had to wonder how this year would go, then he gets a wrist injury and it's like oh **** he's falling apart. Guess not, geez, amazing. Talk about a late bloomer. I know Carole's got dibs with her Cruz crush but man I'm growing fond of the man.

I thought bringing Dyson in in a low leverage situation like tonight was a good idea. That way he wouldn't have to stew so long after his poor first outing. So there you have it two totally different takes on Rocco's management prowess tonight.

I was listening in the car and when I heard Rogers was up I didn't like it. Maybe another batter for poppen or use somebody else. It is true that we have other options for tomorrow now.

Lots of concern that Berrios got pulled after eighty some pitches. Even LEN3 got into the act over at the Strib. What does a complete game shutout have to do with the Twins winning a championship? Over the years (well a while ago) we watched as the Twins seemed to have nothing left once the post season finally got started. Justin Morneau had said he thinks he went too hard during the season and was gassed at the end. Let's see how these new methods pan out this year. I don't care about individual stats or achievements.

Great posts! Mr Lease captures Kepler perfectly. So much could happen just look at Morneau, but yes the sky is the limit.- 10 replies

Good move to come up and meet your new mates. The guy appears excited to make a run and his leadership is part of the package.

Many people are calling for Perez to the pen but didn't we get a look at that already? He was stinking it up before his hot run as a starter.

"We should cheer for this FO to be aggressive traders. We have lived with a long history of passivity," I agree. It has been more interesting and much less exasperating following the current front office. I am confident another move is coming.

Article: Royce Lewis Promoted to Double-A Pensacola
wabene replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
This guy is going to get pushed like Buxton was and likely will struggle just like Buxton. Hopefully then he will figure it out. Will be fun to watch for some and excruciating for others! -
I would not send Smeltzer down in this case and have to wait 11 days or whatever to use him again

Odorizzi has had quite a track record of success against the @%#-%_&*#&anks so I'll go with a hiccup as an explanation of this performance. Still a blister problem? One thing I'd like to say is give em a chance to heal and let the Smeltz start a couple but I can't!!!! We need Darin in the pen dagummit! Ah ok Devin

It's not as simple as that. For context I would include Hicks' early years when he was OPSing in the 600's. Buxton might just play more games this year and get his own run of 800 OPS seasons started.
