  1. It's a start, sadly that appears to be where we will end up though
  2. 84 wins written all over this team
  3. The 2020 version of Ricky Nolasco
  4. What championships has Bryce won?
  5. The criticism of us not attacking free agency is absolutely valid and I agree with you on that. It's fair to get on the front office because I am frustrated too, there's no reason for them not to be more aggressive. But I'm going to strongly argue the claim that our front office is sandbagging because Falvey used to work in Cleveland and wants them to win the division. Also, the one of us take at the end: so we need someone from here or someone from within the Twins Country Club to run the organization?
  6. Do you honestly believe our front office is doing this?
  7. I'll admit, I read the title as "Where are THEY now" and got very confused as to why our current roster was in an article with that title. That's all, carry on
  8. Tyler Austin may very well not be on the team this year, let alone in 2022
  9. Astudillo should participate in every single one of those races sponsored by Target in the middle of the game this year
  10. Putting "another" before it was more where I was lost
  11. The sad truth is there are people that think just looking at fielding percentages is how you judge a player defensively.
  12. I heard LVN3 on with Bump on KFAN (which we all know is full of super bright baseball minds) yesterday and he mentioned that there were some murmurs that Cruz may play OF like once a week/week and a half or so next year? There's no way that can possibly be true, right?
  13. Yes, but we won't be rolling with a 12 man staff
  14. Can't keep both, no way. Which is fine, I'm totally on board with it but let's get this out of the way now
  15. Remember when people thought Sano was actually 195 when he showed up in the bigs because of a weight that was taken when he was like 16? Classic
  16. Eh for Mauer and all he meant to this franchise probably not. Just about anyone else being brought up in this thread though I would've agreed with you.
  17. Well mainly cause the article was about Austin but you can include Cron too. The overall point is that if Cruz or another pure DH type ends up here somehow, they can't keep everyone on the roster. They can't keep all 3 around. Since this article is about Austin, I just used his name.
  18. It's pretty clear: if Cruz (or any other pure DH type we sign) ends up here, then there is no plan with Austin. He will not be part of this organization
  19. Bingo. In a vacuum, Cruz brings a impact bat to our lineup but not without the expense of someone else. If Austin has to be dumped for it, it happens, I get it. But I do think people need to understand that there's no way in 2018 baseball you can fit all of those one dimensional pieces onto a roster
  20. "The team is caught in flux, and that's not really anyone's fault so much as just the way things have played out." Injuries are one thing but acting like we got here just by sheer dumb luck is incredibly naive
