  1. With a 13 man bullpen common though now, it is really, really hard to carry someone on the bench of that skillset if they can't provide any defensive versatility. If we have Sano/Cruz/Donaldson, Austin is not making the roster. No way they could carry all 4
  2. Clone Mike Trout as much as possible and somehow acquire all of them through trades I solved it
  3. Jon Gray, Sonny Gray, get all the Gray's
  4. But but but but but he doesn't "play the game the right way!" (sarcasm) Agreed with you. No one is scared off of Manny because he is cocky and arrogant. He's an elite talent and he's going to get paid.
  5. Contending for a central title vs. contending for a world series are two very different things. Sure, with a good offseason we could on paper compete for the central but in no way is this team even remotely close to being world series contenders
  6. Is Cuddyer still doing some unknown front office job with the team? He's actually the one I thought for years would be perfect in the booth.
  7. This is a pretty long "phasing out" it doesn't have to be a 5 year plan, good lord
  8. Just in time! Not only that, Rocco was the third choice! I saw something similar to that this weekend: the Pioneer Press posting a tweet (since been deleted I believe cause I went back to screenshot it) about how the Gophers were gonna be without certain players for their game against Indiana... after the game had ended
  9. Baldelli is a fresh start and a new voice for Byron but Rocco isn't going to step into the plate and hit curveballs for Byron. Not saying coaching doesn't matter because it does but eventually it doesn't matter what the coaching is, if you can't hit it consistently, you can't hit it consistently.
  10. Agreed. How much you can put on Shelton is up for debate but it's just bad optics more than anything to let the current leader go and then bring his right hand man up. It feels then like a change wasn't really made
  11. I'm happy with the hire, now give him an actual roster with actual talent to work with and we'll see what happens
  12. Yes, it does. Boston isn't afraid to play on the road
  13. RIP Eduardo Escobar name game series
  14. As long as those in Wisconsin don't get to enjoy a title, I am happy. Sorry not sorry Brewers
  15. Hoping Milwaukee gets the boot tonight!
  16. Usually the goal of the offseason is to get better and make improvements
  17. Agree to disagree on this being "taking a risk"
  18. Thank you for answering even better than I could have.
  19. Maybe if our leadership was willing to take an actual chance or an actual risk
  20. If they miss out on a SS this offseason, then yeah you could go back to Polanco being there next year but there is absolutely no reason they shouldn't be pursuing and looking into other options there.
  21. The thing with Donaldson is you'd almost have to plan on him being at 1B/DH, which is fine but actually relying on him to play 3B and stay healthy doing it is wishful thinking
  22. Grossman lol Thanks for the memories buddy, but no way
