    Not a very high ceiling, and not even a super safe pick either.

    Sure, it happens. The bottomline is that it is so hard to find great pitching in today's game while you can piece together a lineup relatively easy. I am a firm believer that you draft as much pitching as possible and finding missing pieces among positions players through trades and FA is the way to go.

    Ultimately, there's a very real possibility the Twins end up being sellers but it's pretty early to completely firesale things off. The other thing about us being sellers is yes, there's some people on our roster that may be somewhat attractive to others but we aren't getting a haul for anyone. We may get some ok prospects (10-15 range in an organization) but we're not getting any big time prospects back.

    No way. They probably aren’t going to pick up Erv even at a reduced price.

    But isn’t this the issue in a nutshell? I know they were planning on Castro being the guy at C all year and not having Garver as an everyday guy but they are essentially experimenting with a guy playing and learning catcher on the job at the major league level. That’s unacceptable.

    This offense just isn’t very good. We are sending out AAA level players each night in the order from spots 6-9 who are non-factors offensively and are relying on the likes of Rosario, Kepler and Escobar to carry us. They’re nice pieces but not nearly consistent enough to be the focal points of a lineup for a team that was hoping to contend for a playoff spot. It’s a miracle that we can put together 5 runs in any game considering we essentially are giving away 12-15 outs a night.

    I think he's much more talented than them and has a higher upside but at the same time, I'd rather have those guys in that role because they just don't have that much upside left whereas Wade could benefit from playing everyday still.
