  1. No shock, I wish Paul the best and I think guys liked playing for him but this was sealed a long time ago. FO wanted to make this move a year ago to be honest but couldn't after getting into the wild card game
  2. Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks Joe. I am 31 now, married, 2 little ones, etc. and it's crazy to think how long that he has impacted this franchise. Obviously I have never met the guy or anything but it does get wild to think about all the milestones I have gone through in my life in that time that he has been with the Twins and just with the organization in general.
  3. This team has an ok starting rotation, which yes is better than we've seen for a decade now they have to build upon it. We have two probably top 40 starters in the league in Berrios and Gibson and even they have question marks. Every other guy on our staff has serious question marks. Relying on that and having the logic of "they should be fine/we should be ok there/I think we're good enough to get by" is a good way to just stay average but not actually improve. And don't get me started on the bullpen...
  4. But what does their opinion mean in front office decision? Does someone who played in the big leagues automatically become qualified to be in the front office? Trust me, Falvine have a lot to prove still and the jury is very much out with their leadership, I agree on that but your example was lacking.
  5. Praising the FO for stumbling into three AAAA players? Boy, it has been a rough year.
  6. Option 1 or 3. 2 makes no sense at the moment
  7. Bingo, there's bad luck and sure, Max has had some but at that many PA's, it's eventually just that's the hitter you are.
  8. This right here. This is why this is a problem. We just don't have enough bullpen depth where we can sit someone like Reed for a while and throw others out there to eat up some innings.
  9. Isn't it bad that when they left runners on in the first that I had a bad feeling we may not get another chance like that again? Yes, I felt that way......... in the first inning.......... against Detroit. The margin for error with this team is just so slim
  10. Both New York and Boston are going to win 100 games or close to it. Second place in the west essentially has to play only 500 ball the rest of the way to get the second wild card spot. I mean, yes it's still June but the wild card race for the Twins is over. It's the central or nothing.
  11. We're already almost 12 back in the wild card race. It would take a MAJOR collapse for us to even be in the conversation for wild card contention. Our only realistic route is by winning the division.
  12. It's almost as if that's just a go to excuse that carries no weight when applied to this team.
  13. For an organization that is lacking a ton of high upside talent in the farm system, yeah that would be a pretty big deal.
  14. It's sad that for how bad he's been at the plate, he's markedly better there than he is defensively. I kind of figured for a hit-first catcher he'd be able to at least somewhat hit
