  1. Julian needs to play full time, probably at 3A. He will or won't find his way back, but he'll never do it sitting on the bench. The others, Clemens, Bride, and Gaspar are just holding places.
  2. I'd go with a "Nobody won the award this Month" pick.
  3. I'm thinking Winokur should split time between outfield and first base. I haven't seen Culpepper play enough, but I still think DeAndrade could be Correa's replacement at shortstop in 2 years.
  4. Even with last nights win, I don't see how it could hurt.
  5. Maybe if he could force himself to get more at bats in the spring he might get some hits in the first game of the year. And second and third etc.
  6. Has anyone kept track of how many more years that Dobnak has on his contract? Does anyone think he would make a good pitching coach? I am not sure I'd carry him as a starter over the other starters at 3A and 2A.
  7. Neither Lee nor Lewis have played enough at the major league level to know what they "will" be. Lots of rampant speculation going on. At some point over the coming season we will have a better idea, I hope.
  8. Brandon Winokur is big enough to play 1st base. It'll be interesting to see if he play significant games at Witchita this year, of course he has to get through Cedar Rapids first.
  9. I don't think either Julian or Martin make the roster out of Spring Training. I believe they will both have big league careers, just not with the Twins. Martin would work better as a small ball, second baseman. The Twins wanted him to be a slugging shortstop, he just isn't. Julian has too much competition to play second base for the Twins. If it isn't lee, Keaschall will be up soon, maybe mid season and could replace both of them.
  10. I was wondering if they would have to find a temporary stadium to play in such as in a Buffalo location.
  11. Place him on the injured list and send him to the doctors/surgeons. As long as he wants to keep trying, there is no reason to give up on him.
  12. Other than Paddack I wouldn't trade any of the starting pitchers. Unless of course someone jumps up and makes a ridiculous offer. Everyone is tradable for the right price.
  13. I think the truly low leverage pitchers this year will be Castro and Vazguez. Maybe a surprise guest appearance comes in. Castellano is just a rookie who is not primed for any particular role so mostly relief of mutiple innings.
  14. I go with the format of letting him prove he can pitch so that he can be traded to someone else and get a lottery token in exchange. Let another team nurse him through the year. My luck he would have a Cy Young season.
  15. Unfortunately that's true. But since I started wearing minimalist shoes, I haven't had a single sprained ankle while running in over 10 years. Or playing basketball or softball. Maybe just a coincidence.
  16. Unfortunately our best prospects getting injured probably means more lost time for future starters. Maybe get everyone in the top 40 prospect list a personal trainer. Plus the majors maybe 2 trainers each.
  17. Somehow I don't mind the Yankees losing players. Or the Dodgers either.
  18. Apparently many missed it, but it was mentioned early on that Ishbia was a minority owner in the White Sox. I agree the suspicious part is where he was able to purchase a larger part of the White Sox following the noise around him being interested in the Twins. As far as the team goes, I'd like to see how well they could do if they had a normal season without so many injuries.
  19. I hope he can make it to the Twins this year. August would be nice. For his sake I hope he goes through the whole season healthy. I'm not sure he could pitch 50 innings total this year at whatever levels.
  20. I don't think he is pitching just for 2026. I think he is pitching for his whole career. But I also hope he pitches so well someone else trades for him. If the best he can be is the fifth man in the rotation because of his check, I would prefer someone else takes the 5th spot and gets the experience that a year in a major league rotation will offer.
  21. After 1 inning of spring work I can't see a reason to plan on him starting in the rotation. So far I agree with most that there being a trade for him is the only way he should still be with the Twins at the end of spring. Then send him to the minors. Maybe we would see him next year.
  22. Hopefully this year is a choice among several good starters for the last spot in the rotation and next year even more so.
  23. I agree, but who would he replace? If Paddack is not in the rotation.
