Aim low, aim so low that when you achieve your goal, even you will be disappointed. ~ Homer Simpson

  1. I hate it too but..... https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/irregardless
  2. I'm pretty surprised that anyone cares at all about Spring Training stats. I feel like every single year either the concerns from slow starters or the helium on someone knocking the stiches off the ball wind up largely looking really silly by April 30th.
  3. I just switched to AT&T from Hulu and really like it. $85 is ridiculous since we primarily watch baseball and the Wild and little else. But I have nothing better to do and the $4 million I saved by not drinking beer at bars in 2020 is burning a hole in my pocket.
  4. As usual in March hope springs eternal. So I'm expecting 190 IP, 3.25 and 1.10 ERA/WHIP with 200 strikeouts. Now as with most Minnesota sports fans there is that one part of your brain that refuses to be brainwashed and insists on trying to counterbalance the brainwashed part of your brain. So that part of my brain sees 100 IP with a sore something or other in there and a 4.50 ERA 1.50 WHIP. I hate that part of my brain and it hates me. So I'm still going with the hopeful projection.
  5. "Mountain Dew or Crab Juice." "Blecch! Ew! Sheesh! I'll take a crab juice."
  6. 1-877-kars for kids k-a-r-s kars for kids. donate your car today. Sorry, just trying to get something in my head that is less annoying than watching this baseball team try to hit.
  7. Is it? I admittedly don't look at these stats that often but it appears Eddie's hard hit % is the 2nd highest of his career.
  8. I don't know, he drives me crazy sometimes and I really want to see Kiriloff and more of Rooker but Eddie isn't quite as bad as you're making him out to be. His improvement this year as far showing more patience seems real. And if his BABIP were normal (.300-ish is normal where Eddie is at .235) I think his slashline would be fairly impressive. His defense is terrible though and that just doesn't make sense.
  9. The problem with this is that Cruz doesn't bat leadoff. He can't hit the first homerun if Kepler hits one first. So my answer is Kepler.
  10. Listening to LaTroy talk about Alcala right there made me feel things.
  11. I think they got it from MLB The Show on PS4.
  12. The crowd noise already feels really natural, I was worried about that. I'm just so happy to have baseball. Low bar to clear but this is one of the best nights in a long time.
  13. Aaron Sabato is a great baseball name. Say that name out loud and you can imagine he's Clu Heywood like masher.
  14. I don't have particularly high hopes for either but Gordon should at least be close to ready (if he ever will be, which was maybe your point). 160+ games at AAA and he actually had a better year last year than I would've thought. That said I would imagine Adrianza is next up if Arraez were injured.
