  1. I'd say no. I'd think they'd be able to find a better deal elsewhere, but I'm purely guessing. That said, I wouldn't expect a huge return on a Donaldson trade given his salary, age and injury history. Which is why I wasn't overly thrilled about the deal in the first place.
  2. Buxton is the only legitimate option, in my view. But he looks like he may not be healthy enough to play. Berrios is probably next up. It'll probably depend more on the composition of the rest of the roster that'll determine who gets selected from this squad.
  3. Agreed. It's also the CF's prerogative to take control in those situations. I'm sure that the two aren't that familiar with each other, but it would seem that they weren't communicating well enough.
  4. There's nothing worse than when a newcomer destroys the team chemistry.
  5. You can tell all of that after 2 games? He's not played well, I don't disagree, but this seems like a bit of a leap at this juncture. He's only here because of injuries. Somebody has to play CF.
  6. Good move by the insurance company. Good to see one treat their customers well for a change!
  7. I've got a solution for that too!
  8. Best pull the plug on this game recap. It's flowing downhill.
  9. 5 of those came in the first week. Think about that for a bit.
  10. There's not a lot of starting options in house for the near term, but if this season is lost then it makes little sense not to trade him. If they wanted to push to re-sign him after the season, I wouldn't be opposed to that.
  11. I'd rather we do what Tampa does to develop a program like they have, but that's not the topic of discussion!
  12. So much for momentum...
  13. Why ya gotta go burst Ethan's bubble like that? Just because we can't be happy about how things are going, doesn't mean that he can't!
  14. I don't know if or how long this hot streak will last, but I'll definitely take it. It's also come at a good time for the team. It is nice that his hard work has paid off, even if just for a short while. He's getting his opportunity and he's taking full advantage of it.
  15. I'm glad they won, but the fact that the only runs were scored on one hit against the O's lackluster pitchers today doesn't give me many warm fuzziest.
  16. Oh, is that all? I thought you were going to say that it's virtually impossible!
  17. Aren't we sick enough from watching this team already?
  18. I imagine that plays into the error by Donaldson. That turn isn't something he's all that familiar with, but that's still a play, that even he would appear to agree with, that should have been made. He had the time. Though, judging by how he set himself up for that, he hasn't practiced that enough.
  19. And yet, the play still wasn't made! Rather incredible, really. Even the guys backing the play up failed.
  20. This may not be the worst idea. Baffert knows a lot of things ranging from horsesh*t to winning. This team's play has the former covered, so maybe he can help with the latter?
  21. That's part of the indictment. The White Sox aren't world beaters and have some key injuries, yet this team doesn't look remotely close to being able to beat them. The fact that other lesser teams are competitive with this team reflects what you're saying. Average teams should walk all over this squad right now.
  22. They are fun to watch. I picked them to the win the division, but figured that they'd be a bit of a wild card. They still might be, but they execute as they should and don't rely on hitting the ball out of the park. It's a bonus, not the basis of an offense.
  23. It's quite an indictment of this team that despite the White Sox being depleted, they're still light years better than this squad. That's not a good sign. Also, the Scott Badger Tweet makes me sad.
