  1. Thank you Twins Daily for another outstanding minor league report. You are the French vanilla creamer for my coffee each morning.
  2. Excellent report, will look for some of the discount sections you mentioned. Went to Saturday's game, a couple of scoreboard hiccups for a half-inning or so, but the pace was swift.
  3. Always liked Tyler Duffy, a class act, and wish him good luck!
  4. Excellent report Ted. Right behind my coffee, the minor league report is probably my favorite thing in the morning. Good to see how the kids are progressing. I sure hope the new minor league pay scale kicked in on day one for them.
  5. I'm pretty sure I've sat next to Tom, maybe only for an inning or two, at a Twins game.
  6. TBD...to be determined. Intitial look somewhat favors Reds.
  7. Byron Buxton on pace for 243 runs scored? Joey Gallo on pace for 324 strikeouts? Fun to play with the numbers are this stage of the season.
  8. Terrific post. I like, how with any baseball list, it leads the reader to take pause and reflect. While not everyone may agree on the top 6, 10, or whatever the number may be, it is the journey the reflection has taken you on that makes the trip worthwhile.
  9. Besides my French vanilla creamer, Twins Daily minor league reports are the BEST thing to go with my morning coffee. Great stuff and thank you TD staff.
  10. Again, not sure where you're going with this, the link you provided is 5 years old? Anything current? I'll reiterate my main talking point again...History has shown that when everyday people make more money, they end up spending more money in the communities in which they live and work. How is that a bad thing? Minor League baseball will still be the best financial deal in professional baseball for fans, even after its players earn a liveable wage.
  11. Wow, not sure where you're going with this one. Campaign contribution? Quietly slipped into massive spending bill? By who? We're all reading about this now...in a public forum. History has shown that when everyday people make more money, they end up spending more money in the communities in which they live and work. Minor League baseball will still be the best financial deal in professional baseball for fans, even after its players earn a liveable wage.
  12. 91 wins and the AL Central Division title. The playoff losing streak is halted, and a playoff series is won!
  13. Always liked "Hildy", ever since I saw him pitch for the Twins in Cedar Rapids. Sat next to him for half and inning during a spring training game in Port Charlotte in 2017 while he had a clipboard and was charting pitches (he would end up pitching the last inning and getting the save.) He was very nice, chatted about his days in A ball, and signed a ball for me (still have it.) Trivia note, his roomate in college and A ball was Michael Theofanopoulos, and combined their last names had 26 letters, which I think may be an all-time franchise record for roommates in this obscure stat.
  14. The poutine at CHS Field is among the best food I've ever had at any ballpark in 40+ years.
  15. I was at the game where he put a homerun into what is now a bar area in centerfield, just under Minnie and Paul. Park was all the rage at TwinsFest that year and a very nice guy when I got his autograph. Wish him well.
  16. I didn't want your Valentine's Day to be unbearable. Awesome job Melissa, the Correa first choice one just about send my coffee out my nose.
  17. I haven't seen anything in writing that says the Twins wanted to make Miranda more trim and lose weight. I applaud Miranda for taking the intiative himself. He's capable at 3B and has looked alright there in the minors & majors. Give the kid a chance.
  18. Excellent story, so well written. Thanks for the trip down memory lane, and the insights I was not aware of with Dave Goltz.
  19. Great insights, I was wondering what this event would be all about and how it went.
  20. Great insight with this series on the Falvey philosophy.
  21. A good look at the road numbers. The 87 Twins were an anomaly...the stars were aligned for an exciting playoff run, especially at home. Although I believe they did win the ALCS on the road at Detroit.
  22. Gilberto Celestino does not belong on a MLB roster at this point in his career. The kid needs some seasoning at AAA. Gallo and Gordon can provide CF depth, "if" needed.
  23. Thanks for all the updates everyone. Information and links just added for Rochester and St. Paul.
  24. St. Cloud winter caravan info. has been updated with guest list.
