I like this post into infinity! Check this thread for our meager requirements, 'how to' instructions and open dates! Come on, Aggies! Take a date! http://twinsdaily.com/topic/25228-2017-game-thread-volunteers-needed1/

Ah, I was thinking you were saying that Roku worked around the local block.

Oh wow .... Mauer is such a gold glover there at first!

No chicken for dinner tonight ... I made turkey burgers ... close but not quite. A friend of mine texted me yesterday. She forgot to cancel her HelloFresh order for this week and it was likely sitting on her doorstep, so she asked me to pick it up and enjoy! The first meal ... crantastic turkey burgers with jammy mayo and green salad.

You can't play the game on MLB.tv if the game is playing in the same market in which you are located. So, since I'm in Chicago, and the game is playing on a local network, it's blocked from view here. I can watch it after the fact, but not in real time. But I've never tried any work arounds, if there are any.

Since I'm in Chicago I couldn't load this game, but I was able to load a different game.
  9. Squirrel
Wait, where? To right? Umm ... no comment.
  10. Squirrel
Or ChiTown ... so, AinM ... what dates can we sign you up for?

Whether or not one believes the 'popularity contest' angle of the GG award, in terms of what it is meant to be/should be, I think Mauer deserves top consideration, whether he wins it or not.

I keep thinking I'll make it to Kane Co. one of these days to catch the Kernels. Or Beloit. Or another that is very doable as a day trip from Chicago. But all the trips to Ft. Myers I make, trying to get to a Miracles game is something I always try to do. The crowds and atmosphere at these games are so different. It becomes sort of a game of ... continuity ... to not just follow some of these players to the Majors through the written word, but to in person treks to whatever minor league fields and games one can. It's really the big picture of the game.

Yeah, sometimes it is. But not that. I'd rather save it for something else.

I said I liked my chicken basic ... not dancing raw!
  15. Squirrel
I'm not, but the acid reflux is. I just like my chicken basic ... like this ...

    That looks too spicy.

The thread is still there, but without the new comments. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/23497-article-buxton-stalls-out-again/ I, personally, like to look back at threads like that to remind myself how things change in baseball, how players progress or regress, become stars, fizzle out, etc. But with all the current threads ongoing on Buxton, there didn't seem a need to bump that up.

    Good luck and congratulations, Joe!

Yeah, you didn't hear that. That's not how it works. If your Garmin really wanted to be done with your road trip, it would have just directed you to drive off a cliff or a bridge or something. But then, you'd probably have missed that turn, too.

Only way marshmallows are edible ... toasted ... and between chocolate and grahm crackers.

I'm sure the Twins are concerned about all their players and whatever issues are specific to them, including Sano and his weight. And they should be, I'd question it if they weren't. And I have no problem with that. My issue with some of the concern expressed by others are the assumptions that seem to go along with it. Some of these assumptions seem to imply a willfull and knowing disregard by Sano about this concern. That is the bias. I've read hints and accusations that given his size he then must have a poor work ethic, no discipline, he's lazy, or he doesn't care or doesn't try. All things damaging to and demeaning Sano's character as a player. That, to me, is the problem with the piece that Souhan wrote, and the problem with some of the responses. It doesn't matter that he couched some of this in obvious compliments, either... Gee, that's a stunning outfit you're wearing, but it would look so much better if you weren't so fat.

This is a warning to you and everyone on this thread ... 1. If anyone wants to start a thread to discuss a topic, you are most welcome to do so. If your purpose for starting a thread is to only accept answers you like and be disrespectful, sarcastic and dismissive of those who give thoughtful responses in disagreement with you, you can sit out. Permanently. This is not a threat, because we are getting tired of this. 2. If you don't like a topic, rebut it respectfully or don't respond at all. If you are simply tired of the same ol', same ol' of this topic, please, just ignore it and move along. If someone becomes disrespectful to you or others, please don't take it upon yourself to publicly point out the disrespectful behavior in thread. Report it. Just to the left of the MultiQuote/Quote buttons below a post there is the word 'report.' Click on it and make a report on the post you feel is disrespectful. Do NOT respond to the post yourself. There has been plenty of disrespect flowing around this thread. Whether you started it or responded to it, doesn't matter. Stop. 3. I have removed and/or edited almost a page worth of posts because of both 1 and 2, so knock it off.

I was going to say ChiTown, but now I'm going to have to come up with something else. Maybe I'll be 'Sideways Photos'
