  1. You've seen my neighborhood ... you have to admit it's a good neighborhood.
  2. Not sure what that's supposed to mean, but I live on the south side ... in a great neighborhood.
  3. No, no, no, yes. I'm working tonight so not at the game. Was not wishful thinking, just keep looking at Wunderground. Definitely not a meteorologist. Yes, I brought an umbrella with me to work today because when work is over around 10pm, I have to go home and thought it might be raining then. Not that any of this is any of your business, but whatever.
  4. Rain is coming ... but likely won't see the worst of it until after game time ... that's my prediction.
  5. Well, last season he didn't do any home games, so maybe that changed again for this season. Edit: Yep ... he's only doing Sunday day games at home. That's it. I know the previous season (or two) he was off home games because he'd drive back and forth to his home somewhere in Indiana between games, and that was too much for him, so he was in the booth for away games. But this year ... home games, only on Sunday afternoons. I think it said he's only doing 20 games this year, so far reduced from past seasons.
  6. White Sox posted their lineup. That's optimistic given the weather coming this way. Edit: Actually ... the weather is looking more promising ...
  7. Hawk doesn't do home games. And I think this is his last season doing away games.
  8. This, absolutely. Big reason he’s one of my favorites. Attitude isn’t everything, but it’s a big thing, imo.
  9. I don’t have objections he wasn’t called up to the Twins. I do wonder why he wasn’t moved up to AAA to take Petit’s place instead of Sean Miller, even if for only a week.
  10. Esco has been one of my favorite players since the Twins got him from the White Sox. On the field he’s not a star but he’s solid wherever you put him. At the plate he seems to keep improving. And the guy himself, he seems to work hard but manages to also keep the atmosphere light. He’s not an all-star player, but he does his job well. Attaway, Esco!
  11. My answer was in response to Sean Miller being promoted to AAA and not Gordon. I get the not wanting him up to the big club yet, but why not to AAA?
  12. Okay, why? Is Sean Miller doing better than Gordon? I don't get some of these decisions. It's not like I know better ... because I really, truly don't ... but wouldn't it make sense to push Gordon just a little, even if he has to go back in 10 days? Or do they want him moving up only when it's a permanent move? Seems to me he's not getting opportunity here. And I could just be crabby about the whole state of things and that clouds my judgement.
  13. I really don't get the thinking behind the Rule 5 picks. It just seems so wasteful. If you are going to keep a roster space for someone and think they have some value, just make a deal. Why don't teams just do that? Maybe I'm being simplistic and really don't understand how these things work, and at least this didn't go on for longer (but is that really an optimistic take?), but I just don't get it. Will Gordon move up to Rochester? Or is this move so short lived they don't want to do that yet?
  14. Yeah, no ... that's no fun. It's a good way to get a seat to yourself with no one scrunched up next to you.
  15. Well ... I have to have some talks serious talks with myself about games this weekend in Chicago ... do I go or not, and if I do, how often? Maybe they'll sweep the Jays and get on a roll ...
  16. Yeah, it makes me almost want to watch.
  17. All I can say is 'Ugh!' I really can't watch this anymore.
  18. Uh oh. I hate creepy but can’t resist them either.
  19. I don't know if this show has ever been mentioned. It's not new but it's still current and season 4 will be released soon. Has anyone watched 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'? Just started watching it ... love it! Am in the middle of season 2. Anyone else watching this, or have watched this awaiting for the next season to be available on Netflix? (It's a Netflix series.)
  20. I actually think there was far worse to this game than that. Half the relief pitchers need to go ... who do we have to fill those spots? Oh, wait, we have Kinley. I forgot. Who else?
  21. We have quite a few pitchers right now that fit that 'hope will be his last appearance' category ... Hughes, Duffy, Hildenburger ... and who do we have to take their places?
  22. Yep. Yep. I have nothing more to say.
