  1. Peter Cetera was an original band member. Not sure when he left the band, but it was much later than that, pretty sure. Edit: Yeah ... original member, left the group in 1985. 25 or 6 to 4 was released in 1970.
  2. Yeah, this is taking too long and I have to get up early to play tennis, so I'll catch the rerun tomorrow.
  3. Yeah, takes one to know one. So I guess you aren't one.
  4. Tell me what they are and give me a recipe and I'll have them ready. But having them ready doesn't mean I will open the door and offer them to you.
  5. I found this recipe I'm going to have to try. http://www.cupcakeproject.com/2010/07/biscoff-cookies-from-scratch-recipe.html
  6. ChitTown always looks through the peephole in her door before opening. It is not uncommon for her to just pretend she's not home.
  7. Impulse buy of the week: biscoff cookies. Saw them on the shelf, when I wasn't even looking for anything in that aisle, but just passing through to get to the front of the store and to check out, and there they were. Somehow they leapt off the shelf into my cart. Sigh. They are REALLY good. Might have to find a recipe for them.
  8. Thanks for all your draft reports and updates this season!
  9. Lineups and weather are up in the OP! Hope I get to see some of the game when I get home from work ... late rehearsal today.
  10. Phone conversation with spinowner: Spin: Hey, Chi ... will be heading to the game tonight ... what time should I stop by? Chi: Anytime ... just allow enough time to get to the game! Spin: Great! I don't have your address ... Chi: No worries, I'll text it to you when you hang up. Spin: Okay ... see you soon! Spin: <waits for text> Spin: <continues to wait for text> Spin: <still waiting for text> Spin: Hmmm ... <calls Chi> Beeeeeeep: I'm sorry. The number you are trying to reach has been disconnected. No further information is available.
  11. I actually like the ugly brown things. It's not that I would call them beautiful in an aesthetically pleasing way, but they are provocative, and I find a truth to them, in how people in the city tend to walk around, busy, clumped, but not really seeing one another. When I'm on the street, I make a point to try and make eye contact with everyone I pass and either smile at or greet in some fashion. I am always amazed at how many people either never notice anyone around them or purposefully look away. Is this a societal 'problem?' Can't say. But that is my observation.
  12. Brown things. Green guy. Diehard was pretty correct in his response.
  13. Nope. Won't. Can't. Not until you've gone here and have PM'd me and Chief with a specific date you want to claim! (No pressure, of course!)
  14. I think maybe he was referring to what some posters think they can get in return for those players as being 'pie-in-the-sky.'
  15. Too far away from Target Field, imo. But when you do come to town for a game, stop by my condo or loft near the Field for pre-game libations.
  16. Oh, and by the way, I don't often swim upstream on cement highways ... I usually get to work (in non-snow and ice weather) via bike through the park. The flowers are always beautiful even if the statues are ... weird ... http://www.aklehr.com/chicago/wp-content/uploads/galleries/post-53/full/skylines003.jpg
  17. When I retire I'll be leaving the big city splitting time between a less big city (Minneapolis) and a big town (Fort Myers) ... but that is still at least 10 yrs away.

  19. Heh ... I have lived in Chicago for the last 17+ years. And I live downtown adjacent. Work takes me to NYC fairly often ... and your sentiment above re Chicago has pretty much been my sentiment re NYC. It's fine to visit, but give me Chicago over NYC any day. I'm so happy when I return home after a trip to NYC.
  20. Reread it now ... it was amended ... thanks to Brian's editor ... ChiTownTwinsFan Do you ever come to the Midwest Clinic? If so, you should hit me up for tickets for the annual CSO Brass concert.
