I am currently in the land of Lollapalooza ... if you don't know what that is, look it up ... wow ... it's loud tonight.

I’m sure some kind of ‘cost analysis’ was done and maybe they felt those seats weren’t utilized enough to provide for them in their renovations, but I think that was really short sighted and just plain wrong, and then likely made sure to provide the number of seats required without any thought to visibility and in-game experience. In other words, ‘we’ll put all these in the ‘cheap seat’ area.

Who is playing out of position? And don't say Miranda, because that's just false, imo. And don't say Gordon, either. He had a lot of time in the OF last year and they've converted him to a super utility payer, I think, quite successfully.

Is this a surprise? Or, will be if/when he signs? I didn't even expect this to be a discussion at this point; never figured he'd even consider signing

Oy ... we have had this discussion so many times, and I ask the same thing and no one ever answers ... sell him for what and to whom? First, no non-contending team will 'buy' him because they, too, will be sellers and they aren't going to 'buy' someone who will leave at the end of the season. Second, who of the contending teams need/want a SS? Third, what do you realistically expect to get for him? Either we pay all the salary and get some modest pieces in return, or we pay nothing of his salary and get less pieces in return. Remember the haul we thought we'd get for Santana? Expect the same for Correa. No one ... not one team ... will be able to afford his actual worth, so if you think we get comparable value, think again. Fourth, he has a limited trade clause ... which teams he doesn't want to be traded to, I don't know. And of course he might waive it. But ... there is that to consider. Fifth, just because the some think 'We won't win it all, so let's sell' ... I think that's a very poor philosophy. So, unless we have a Yankee or Dodger level of good, we should sell? I admit that I don't relish going up against the Yankees or Astros, but, imho, that is not a reason to sell because we are 'scared' of those teams. If every team thought that way, then let's just have the ALCS first thing in October between the Yankees and the Astros and everyone else go home. I mean, there's this saying ... don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game. So ... back to my question ... just what do you think you will get for Correa, and which contending teams need a SS, and who do they have to trade? And if we are going to be sellers, who else will we sell, and where are the needs of the other teams and what do you hope to get in return? We can keep on this round-about and never get anywhere. If the Twins end up being sellers and we are in or near first place in the division, I will be very angry. I don't care if they don't 'win it all' ... yeah, that's a different disappointment ... but to not ever TRY? That's worse and cowardly. Anyway, those are my thoughts.
