    Nice example. Those are two great staffs. If the Twins could end up in the next few years with a starting rotation anywhere close to that Orioles club (or even those Twins), I think we'd finally see some playoff success again.

    Might there be some new year optimism sprinkled in here? I don't care, I hope this is accurate and the Twins soon have a solid 1-5 rotation for maybe the first time in my life (and I'm nearly 50).

    Eddie Rosario in the Twins Hall of Fame is music to my ears. I hadn't thought of that scenario until you mentioned it. The highlights were great. So much fun to watch Eddie over the years and a gut punch to lose him. Time marches forward I guess. I think most downtrodden Twins fans expect Eddie to haunt the Twins in the future - either by beating the Twins or seeing success elsewhere. It was also great to see a packed Target Field with fans crammed in there for a sunny, glorious afternoon game. Hoping we can get back to that in 2021. My brother sent me a meme today that it's only 70 days until pitchers and catchers report.

    Interesting case for Nathan. I had no idea he compared so favorably big picture. It should be tough to get into the HOF as a reliever. I agree with keeping the number of RPs in the Hall to a minimum.

    Great list. I agree with all except for #2. Bremer is technically proficient at his job and has, "... communication skills, and baseball knowledge." He does not have charisma.

    I'd like to see some new blood to get the Twins over the postseason hump. Odorizzi is a capable pitcher and I won't be upset if the Twins bring him back. I just don't see signing Jake as a step closer to a World Series, it's more treading water.

    I'd prefer a roster that is built to win in the playoffs.

    I won't even attempt this exercise. I know I'd be a terrible GM as I get too attached to "my guys" and it clouds my judgment.

    It's so very interesting and concerning that the 2019 winner of this award, Taylor Rogers, received precisely zero votes this season.

    Looking at the previous five years of winners, only Hildenberger is out of the mix. You'd think these guys could win a playoff game.

    Advanced stats are great and all, apparently they are not Eddie's friend (which I don't understand completely). Anyway, Eddie hit 32 bombas in 2019 and 13 in a 60 game 2020 season (which projects out to 35 in a complete season). It is going to be 2-3 seasons before a replacement from the farm puts up 30+ home runs. Eddie's defense is better than the detractors point out after looking at the UZR and DRS stats on Fangrapghs. I would keep Eddie on my squad.

    If what you saying is true for any prominent member of the Twins organization then I want my 2021 season ticket money refunded. If this organization isn't beyond packing it in at the sight of another team then why bother following this club?

    That's a warped version of what happened. Romo wasn't lights out, although that inning was good enough to post no runs. That was an awful error by Polanco and never should have happened. Romo pitched good enough to get out of there with no damage by any reasonable expectation. Of the six batters he faced, 5 didn't hit the ball hard and then the walk. There was no excuse for the walk. Romo owned it after the game and took responsibility. If you don't like that Romo isn't a power pitcher that is fine. It doesn't change the fact that 5 of the 6 batters he faced in game one did not make solid contact. He was only replacement level this season and is probably not coming back to the Twins, although I do hope they re-sign him.

    Romo wasn't terrible in game one. Two bloopers then Polanco makes a Little League error. No earned runs and he should have been out of the inning with no damage.

    With a playoff game on the line in the 9th inning, I want Romo out there. It doesn't seem Rogers gives the Twins much of an advantage.

    Isn't 2020 SSS for everyone by definition? 60 games is June 1 in a traditional season.

    I just... I can't... Father in Heaven, why would you allow this to happen to the Twins fans of the world? How can anyone predict anything other than a Yankees sweep?

    They should have had some fun with the whole thing and mixed an outdoor northern stadium into the mix for the World Series. Say, Target Field.

    I will pass on Odo as the starter in game 1 of the second round of the playoffs as he has been awful this season. Dobnak is my choice as he has proven somewhat reliable.
