  1. You do know, if a draft yields 2 contributors it's considered successful. I believe you're looking for something that doesn't exist. Also, there is no downside to moving college closers into the starting rotation. None.
  2. It's hard to have faith in a guy who gave us all those monster drafts.
  3. Great take. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
  4. His OF play is serviceable. One of these days, he'll get beat out in ST, no need to force the issue. Our woes are not caused by guys at the end of the bench. Look the other way.
  5. The defining draft was 2017. The defining trade deadline was 2018. Seems like you're missing a good show. The boldest move they could make is signing Kershaw and Harper.
  6. Yesterday on the radio, Falvey said they will be using our prospects to make trades. That was part of their thinking, when they made a deep, top 10 farm system deeper. With seemingly half the teams in baseball doing some form of rebuilding, I'm guessing they will package 2 or 3 of our prospects, and make that blockbuster trade, we've been all waiting for this off-season.
  7. Great job Nick! The last thing a good team learns is how to win. July was our best month at 14-13. I do not want to see open auditions. Play to win.
  8. The 2017 draft appears to be very strong. We were the first team in baseball history to make the playoffs after losing 100 games in 2017. The 2017/2018 off-season was the best in franchise history and this is our best trade deadline ever. Not a good time to be part of the I'm smarter than the FO clique.
  9. Lynn is a solid 3 with a good track record. He always was our best trade chip. Note, the one player who may help this year was part of the return.
  10. I don't believe we can contend without Buxton and Sano. They have 2 months to fix what's between their ears. The last thing a good team learns, is how to win. Give them the luxury of 2 months to figure it out. I'm not going anywhere.
  11. As you know, 90% of all prospects never make it out of "A" ball. 4 of the 5 look good to me. We picked up 2 good arms to improve our numbers, along with 2 athletic outfielders. I fully expect this to be our 3rd strong deadline in a row. No idea when we will see the results.
  12. No one's untouchable, but I wouldn't trade him. Berrios, Pineda, Gibson, Romero, and ???, along with the boys in band being back, that's good enough to get us back in the hunt.
  13. No need to move Rodney. He has an option for 6.5M next season, which is more than fair.
  14. I'm giving the new regime the benefit of the doubt. If he ends up being the next Alex Meyer or Trevor May, I'll know better.
  15. Why would we want it to change? A deep system just got deeper. Last article I read had our farm system rated at #6. Could well be, we move up. I particularly liked we picked up 2 young starting pitching prospects. At some point in time, pitching becomes a numbers game. You can never have too many.
  16. A deep farm system just got deeper. On Inside Twins, Falvey called the pitcher they got for Pressly, a potential front line starter.
  17. As long as Sano and Buxton don't crap the bed again, we will make the playoffs next season. You may recognize them as TR's guys. I can't help but remember, you wanted to throw the towel in early last season when we were still in first place.
  18. It's called trading high. The core of 4, plus Rosario and Polanco are still alive and kicking.
  19. The theory is Belisle is plan C. The FO has every intention of replacing him on the roster, with a back of the bullpen guy at the trade deadline, if at all possible. If I'm not mistaken, board scapegoat Belisle had the lowest ERA on the team after 6-15 last season.
