    Actually almost every team has the ammo. Also, the team that comes in second, can we all agree they didn't even try.

    He only has 2 pitches. Velocity difference between his fastball and change is only 5 mph. My take is rather than spend more time in Rochester, he starts in the pen this year and moves to the rotation in the future. I'm guessing they can refine his change in bullpen sessions. We need our best 12 arms at Target Field on day 1.

    Actually it's the other way around. Free agency is the market of last resort to most teams.

    They signed free agents this year, they signed free agents last year. They traded a prospect for Odorizzi and Ynoa for someone else . No doubt they will be working on extensions in the near future. I know Escobar turned one down.

    Are you talking about the Canadian who was 17 when he was drafted? In the 2017 draft, when we played games, we ended up with a very good starting pitching prospect in the 4th round. Let me say this one more time. In early 2017, we had the second youngest team in all of baseball, based on weighted playing time. Can't be more aggressive in promoting players than that.

    We are looking to contend in 2019. We evaluated approximately a half dozen prospects last September and I'm sure we will look at a like number next September. Perez was never signed to win the shebang all by himself.

    Did you notice Perez is 10 years younger and left handed? Let's hope it's like the Belisle move of 2017. That was a big part of our making the play-offs. Is anyone keeping track of how many free agents in the history of this board membership has embraced? Cruz makes one right?

    At some point in time pitching becomes a numbers game. We have decent major league ready starting pitching in Rochester, no where else do we have numbers on our side either starting or in the pen. I expect us to continue to be very active at the trade deadline and 1 year contracts are an excellent tool. We do have members badmouthing 1 year contracts, but they are far from convincing.

    I first came to the board in May of 2013, to follow the 2013 Draft. The Twins had been rebuilding for a year and a half and only a few on the board had any clue. The rebuild ended in 2017, when we became the first team in the history of baseball to make the play-offs after a 100 loss season. But if you want to pretend we started a new rebuild , that's cool. A lot of confused folk on this board, as per usual. Also, the new regime, never considered Sano, Buxton, Polanco, Rosario, Berrios, and Kepler debris.

    Indeed that's what people on the board want. They want us to spend like a large market team. Go back and review the Darvish meltdown thread. There is death, taxes, and my favorite team is owned by the Pohlads. IT'S NOT EVER GOING TO CHANGE!

    They said some very nice things about our favorite team, I hope everyone got a chance to read that. I agree, we have a pretty strong group to form a bridge to our closer. Does anyone else feel you have get off this board to get an accurate and consistent assessment of our chances?

    The average fan doesn't know or care what they spend, the average fan has not been unhappy with the team for the past 8 years, and you couldn't pay the average fan to visit TD.

    Belisle had the best ERA on the team in 2017 after June 15th. I believe the Indians thought he was a major league pitcher early in 2018 also.

    I don't care which one we get, as long as we get one. I look for Reed to rebound in a big way, and given time I think Romero will be solid until he can refine his change-up and return to the rotation in 2020. I think we might be playing beer ball this season and won't lose half our games by 1 run.

    No doubt they will add another BP arm. I believe they will start the season with Reed or the addition as the closer, Romero on deck, and May in the hole.

    RB, why the chagrin over Curtiss? If he had a future with our favorite team, they would have used him in September. Stewart. May, and IMHO Gonsalves pitched themselves into the mix. I like him, but i believe Hildy pitched himself out of the mix. This is off topic, but I expect Astudillo to replace Castro and Gordon to replace Adianza in the not too distant future. I hope things go well for you. Steve Earle rocks!.
