    I got my numbers on MLBTR and they used some service called Resource something or other. Feel free to use your figures and I'll use mine. I'm at 124M and counting.

    We have a number of free agents. You're correct. There are 3 ways a acquire talent and free agency comes in last, as I previously stated.

    If you recall, the board had kittens when we signed Sanchez. It was a plan C move which became redundant when we signed Lynn shortly thereafter.

    Most teams have trouble developing young pitchers. Let's not pretend it's unique to the Twins. Also, we currently have Stewart, Gonsalves, and Thorpe at Rochester, and most likely Romero. That certainly puts us in the top half of all teams.

    I would guess they made him a fair offer. I would go 3/45M with a team option on a 4th year. I like a QO also.

    Where do you get your information? On one of the other sites I believe they said we're 5M under at this moment, but project to be right around 128M, which is about the same.

    Free agency is the market of last resort. Hard to lose on one deals.

    A very solid off-season! Did you know for the first time in the history of TD, the board has embraced not one, but two signings? Cruz and Gonzalez. Big step forward for the board. The I'm smarter than the FO clique can not be happy at all.

    Every single team in baseball would have handled Buxton the same way last September. Can you imagine the meltdown on the board, if we had lost that year? Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

    The board was much more upset about losing Joe Benson that Hicks. At the time you had no idea on the return. That's where the ever popular hindsight comes in. Read where Murphy is going to make the Snakes.

    Anything can happen, but Schoop specifically wanted a 1 year make good deal. He has a lot of confidence as well he should. Solid move.

    There is nothing wrong with the Buxton relationship that money can't fix.

    IMO they revised the team chemistry statement, and moved on to the amount of missed ST. If our scouts think the 2 K's are ready, or will be shortly, I'd make a deal, particularly for Kimbrel.

    Can you cite anything that shows we promote the slowest? I didn't see a point you proved, but I saw several statements which were far from correct. Also, Gonsalves may have the stats, but nowhere near the stuff.
