    Unlikely both Escobar and Dozier are Twins next season. Do you extend/sign one and trade the other? The trade deadline could be wild this year.

    If he proves healthy, we have a fair chance of moving him at the deadline. If we want a solid return at the deadline, we move Lynn.

    Our favorite team is not going to move heaven and earth to get board favorite May to Target Field. I would use the final option in an attempt to showcase him. I look for him to be dealt, no later than this winter, for a low level starting pitching prospect.

    If you add board favorites Alex Meyer's and Trevor May's victories together, and multiple them times 10, you have Lance Lynn. Note, Whatsamatta Yu and Cobb are off to slow starts also.

    They were already young enough, why would they want to get younger? The object is to win games right? Do you have any idea, how many teams are in some form of rebuild? If you want to do the rebuid thing some more, feel free. I'm getting ready for the play-offs the next bunch of years.

    Did you know last year at this time they were the second youngest team in all of baseball, based on weighted playing time? I saw it on this very board. I don't agree with you that they have suddenly become old and decrepit.

    He's not the only proven vet who missed a lot of ST having problems. At worst, we can get an arm and a leg for him at the trade deadline.

    This is silly. The handling of one player doesn't determine if a team is rebuilding or not. Romero still has to go thru the trials and tribulations most young starters have to go thru. No need to panic, these things have a way of working themselves out. Depth is a good thing.

    A broken finger in not an elbow or shoulder injury. I expect him back next season. No one ever gets younger, and he's already more than good enough.

    I would say it started last season towards the end of June.

    Berrios was a TR draft pick as was Gonsalves. Romero was signed as a IFA when TR was in charge for Bill Smith. We have good depth in Rochester, and our farm system will be in the top 10 come this off-season. The big picture looks very good, you can always manipulate the microscopic picture to fit any agenda. You do know we were in the hunt, 2 of the past 3 years.

    My sources tell me there is 80-90% probability there has always been insurance on that contract. Further, there has never been a preexisting injury exclusion. Who would be buy an auto policy that doesn't cover car accidents? In what world, would the premiums equal his salary? You do know the Pohlads are billionaires right?

    There is all kinds of a market for those guys. Don't stray far from the board at the trade deadline, we are going to be buyers and sellers. Let me make a prediction. There appears to be a gap for starting pitching prospects between Rochester and Cedar Rapids. Look for the new regime to partially fill that gap at the deadline. I don't believe they can do that, by only taking college starters in the 2018 draft.

    Since there is plenty of season left, Castro will no doubt have another fine season. Can anyone name the last Twins starting catcher, who did not make the All-Star team sometime in their carrier?

    Our visiting expert from the Braves, said this is the strongest draft for catchers in sometime. I would be very surprised if we didn't take one fairly quickly. The new regime is all about depth.

    I see them all picking it up shortly. It's a long season.

    I would guess there have been teams in the past that started 8-11 and still made it to the World Series. Plenty of time to panic.

    The new regime is relentless in trying to improve our staff. Last I looked at Haley, he would be one of our top 10 starting pitchers, if we had been able to retain him. Only Pressly appears to have better stuff in the pen than Kinley. If Falvey and Levine want take shots for $100,000, I'm all in.

    I'm not surprised. Lamarre is the flavor of the month and Garver, in continuing the TD tradition started with the likes of Pinto, Arcia, and Vargas, is a new board favorite.

    The reigning AL manager of the year, is very good with young players. As our young stars continue to mature, you will see Molly institute small ball more and more. Time to embrace the big picture.

    You don't DFA a player with trade value. We heard the same nonsense about Gibson and Pelfrey.

    Where they start is unimportant, where they end is. It could be as simple as better weather down south.
