  1. "Hope" doesn't sound like a good plan to me.
  2. Fine and good but you can't assume that these players would have signed for the same dollars to play for the Minnesota Twins.
  3. I guess we will have to wait and see how it all pans out.
  4. Disappointed but I am not a long term deal contract fan so it is what is. You can't always get what you want in life. What I don't want is to see the Twins panic and throw big money at Swanson.
  5. But I keep this article current so stop by and check it out. Thank you.
  6. Much ado about nothing. If you don't like them, then don't buy one and the problem is solved. I won't buy one but I won't spend any time complaining about it either.
  7. Congrats to Luis Arraez, he truly earned it.
  8. Every player is a trade candidate, if they are not they should be.
  9. The most valuable pitcher on this list for the Twins might be number 11 Rod Stripling.
  10. Just because you can throw hard doesn't mean you know where to throw it or that you can throw it accurately.
  11. I sure am glad I don't have to make a decision on him. The man threw only 5 innings twice this year, both happened in September. In 21 starts he never hit the 80 pitch mark. His stats for this year are dismal. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=balazo000jor. Still very young but being young doesn't make you a pitcher. I would try to move him before his so called potential disappears totally.
  12. He offers speed and defense but little to no hitting. Can't see Twins signing him with no intention to bring him up. Sounds like Buxton is done for the year but the Twins don't want to announce it.
  13. From a Target Field attendance perspective, this schedule is terrible for Minnesota. With a number of "better drawing" teams coming to play the Twins either early in the season or in September when the weather is cooler and school is in session.
  14. A good team player but will not be a starter on a playoff team. But let's be honest here, I have higher expectations for a number one pick fifth overall.
  15. I can see no circumstance that the Twins trade Correa. Trading Correa indicates raising a white flag and the Twins whose attendance should be better than it is will not trade him. The Twins FO would be chased out of town if they traded Correa and rightly so.
  16. I think he will be on the team but probably not a starter. The only other possibility is Buxton because he is pretty well known even though he has been up and down this year. But, his hot streaks are fun to watch.
  17. Arraez is good with the stick but bad with the glove in simple terms. What to do with him is not as simple. The Twins need an on-base machine in their line-up to put someone on base for the big boppers to knock in. You could trade him but you will probably not get his value in return. Not every player on your team needs to be a slugger but that is not how the analytics folks think now days.
  18. It is always easy to be the Monday morning quarterback and look back 10-15 years and say that other players should have been drafted. What I don't care for is cherry-picking the best player that the Twins could have selected. This case could be made for every MLB team every year.
  19. Who ever said that life was fair? You get up in the morning and you play the cards that you are dealt for that day. Tomorrow? You do the same thing.
  20. Ron Henry was the first player to make his major league debut in a Minnesota Twins unform when he entered the April 15, 1961 game against the Orioles as a pinch-hitter.
  21. I believe that Cavaco was over-rated to begin with and shouldn't even have been a first round selection so seeing him drop in the rating is not much of a surprise.
