  1. Balazovic - now that's a yellow hammer.
  2. Something going on with Berrios? Not sure how accurate Sportsline is but he's not listed as a SP through the 21st. (Albers is listed on the 20th.)
  3. Yeah, that was not pretty...
  4. I believe it is. Some others do not I suppose.
  5. Scouting dept. couldn't get travel visas to SEC/ACC country.
  6. Huh.......thought you were pitching for the Twins already.
  7. Historically, the 10th High School pitcher taken by the Twins in the first round. Jose Berrios and you may not want to look at the balance... It really is a crapshoot with pitchers - just hope they stay healthy and develop.
  8. Neither Callis nor Mayo had him going in the first.
  9. Disagree with anyone who considers the Escobar trade a win. He signed a very reasonable extension for Arizona and has performed extremely well. Re-signing him would have alleviated the need to sign Donaldson to a monster contract with those funds (possibly) being allocated elsewhere. Thus far our return has been two outfielders that may never see MLB and Duran, who though promising, has yet to reach the big stage. We may consider this a win some years down the road, but as of now - not even close.
  10. Read on the game thread that by the 5th inning the Mariners had a 94% chance of victory, the Twins - 0%. I suppose the other 6% belonged to the probability that Mt. Rainier would erupt and cover the ballpark in volcanic flow. Soooo, an inanimate pile of rock had a greater probability of a winning outcome than the Twins. Wonder if it can pitch....
  11. Neither Vallimont nor Faucher have pitched particularly well. I would go with a couple of BP arms first - Cano, Moran and possibly Mason.
  12. What became of Vodka Dave? Saw little of him after the Dozier to the Dodger trade speculation.
  13. Saw Brujan play this week in Durham. Looked good at the plate, impressive speed, playing predominantly OF. Would love to have him but it would take a heavier package to land Buxton. Another kid that looked the part was centerfielder Josh Lowe though Norfolk hung 5 K's on him Tuesday. Franco should be in the bigs now.
  14. Remind me, where is Ozzie managing this year?
  15. Perhaps we can call Korn-Ferry. I hear they have an encompassing knowledge of all things baseball.....
  16. In unrelated former prospect news - watched Huascar Ynoa pitch last night for the Braves. Kudos to Seth for touting him several years ago. Threw a great game (and he takes a healthy cut at the plate as well).
  17. Did not see the game. Just read Cruz was home "resting". Does he have a problem?
