  1. To be clear, I have zero issue with acquiring Banda. I take issue with giving ground on one of the few areas a mid tier franchise can compete through identification and development. The Twins have performed poorly in the international market - trading opportunity as opposed to cash considerations or a low level prospect is in my opinion ill advised. And for the record we have no indication the monies are from the 2026 pool. Appears the Twins just added Jeferson Abreu as a late sign. Much rather enhance the international scouting and development.
  2. In my estimation, a club looking to build a sustainable competitive franchise does not trade international bonus monies. Especially to a team with unlimited resources. Excessively poor move...
  3. And sadly, today's news of Mickey Lolich's passing....
  4. Lack of emphasis / success in international market is a top shelf concern of mine.
  5. 1 - Blyleven 1 - Nathan 2 - Santana 2 - Aguilera 3 - Kaat 3 - Worthington 4 - Pascual 4 - Perranoski 5 - Perry 5 - Duran / Perkins
  6. Would agree pretty much down the line with selections, but I would probably give a slight nod of Allison over Mack and Hisle.
  7. Unfortunate timing Icky haired RB. Just think, were your difficult times today you would have been able to afford a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla and one other thing.
  8. Still attempting to wrap my head around the refusal of MLB to include ALL of deferred monies into the term limits of the contract. Ohtani's contract should count $70 million/year for the duration of the ten year contract.
  9. Salary caps do not guarantee the Twins nor any other team to become World Series competitors. Caps do guarantee a level playing field where player acquisition and development become the paramount drivers in organizational success.
  10. Misread the title. Thought it said RIP market....
  11. A conspiracist might think this was a hire to improve the Dodgers chances to land their primary offseason target.....
  12. Missed opportunity. Pretty meager return.
  13. Me as well. I remember watching him play in Charlotte.
  14. Would definitely like to see Witherspoon included in any package.
  15. Ahh, but did he? Perhaps Jeff Landry opted to cut his teeth on making the selection...
