    You’d think they would move Sabato up to AAA here shortly. Maybe he figured something out but it’s a high bar with the bat to have any kind of mlb value in he is a bad defensive 1B only.

    It would be nice to get Wallner and Buxton back. I think it would be best to use Castro as a regular utility player going forward. Work as a replacement for a guy on days off, punch run or pinch hit late inning defense replacement. Be nice to get Bader a few days off as well. Groin injuries can be tough and linger.

    I hope Olivar is working on catching a ton on off days. I’m not sure he is a major leaguer if he can’t catch. Im actually not sure any of these three are major leaguers. Scary considering both Jeffers and Vasquez will be gone by 2027 and could both be gone by next yr. (Jeffers has one more season of arb and will likely be very expensive, with current owner ship still in place could see Jeffers traded) I think Camargo is a major league back up catcher right now. Not sure if his bat will get good enough to be anything more. If Olivar could be solid defensively and continue to develop hitting you might have something by mid season 2026.

    What are Richard’s Olivar weaknesses and issues behind the plate? Why doesn’t he get more games catching? If it’s issues that can’t be fixed or improved to big league standard why not move him and let him work permanently in the OF?

    Well the twins do have room now and long term on the bench for McCusker. You have Lewis and Castro back, if you get Correa back shortly Bride doesn’t offer much to the big club. A RH bat who can spell Wallner and Larnach long term and cover DH is a needed and usable spot.

    Got another win with a St Paul Saints line up. Lets hope we don’t loss Castro now as well.

    Bader out, Buxton and Correa miss time, you almost have to call up E Rod just for the defense and someone capable to play CF, unless your going shopping in the DFA bin again.

    Wow what a big win and a chance to sweep the home series. Big throw from Vazquez with another great pitching performance. Maybe we can get back into this thing and have something to watch and play for into September.

    Nope I’m not sure he would be any good or usable at 1B. But if he was he would be much more usable and a clear path to the majors in the future. Twins have a lot of corner outfield but nothing at 1B that was my suggestion for moving to 1B

    Position versatility. Doesnt play a good COF, the Twins have no 1B of the future ( immediate of long term) if Ty France goes down right now your looking at a lot of Mickey Gasper. Just believe if McCusker figured something out and the bat is real 1B is his best option to be a solid contributor short and long term.

    No there is not, the closes thing is probably Jair Camargo. Carson McCusker is there best hitter but is 28 and an Indy ball signing. He should be playing first base though.

    Jeffers lack of back speed was evident yesterday. He hit that hanging breaking ball well (double) and on every other year would have been 5 rows deep instead it should have been an out. Vazquez is passed being cooked. Camargo should get a run in the big leagues and replace him. Atleast Camargo will run into one once in a while for a HR. He will absolutely hit better then .100 with zero power.

    Probably should start calling on some trade partners. Larnach, Ryan, Ober, Lewis, Castro, Bader, France. Jax, Duran, Alcala all should be assasing trade value. That 1.7 Billion they are asking for the team value might be dropping real quick!!!

    They could have used Michael Helman right now! And moved Canterino to the 60 day DL instead of selling Helman at the time.

    Boy this new approach for Larnach looks terrible! No power and just slapping balls the other way. Does he think he is Joe Mauer now? Wallner takes big cuts atleast before he gets to 2 strikes and the he appears to adopt that philosophy. Im not sure Keachell or ERod will be ready before June and usually rookies struggle early. At this pace we might be out of it by June tho. I would really like to see Camargo get a shot behind the plate. The Vazquez at bats have gone on to long.

    Let’s face it there isn’t a huge difference between a 85 win team and a 90 loss team but a few injuries and bounces here or there. This team looks lifeless and defeated at the first single of adversity. The bullpen isn’t as good as it was advertised and neither is the rotation and the hitters look as advertised ( not that good) Sell the assets and the team and here comes a 5+ yr rebuild.

    Well Festa started opening day for the saints and didn’t give up any runs. Not a bad start to the season.

    Probably a prisoner of the ST game Gasper had today (the few that have been available on TV). but does Gasper have a chance to be the last guy in the bench? Spell France at 1B and allow you to pinch hit Gasper for Vazquez late in game and Gasper can finish behind the plate. He would be at an interesting chest piece.

    In the Monday 2 inning game Wallner hit a long foul ball and then a ball deep to the wall in RF for an out. And Lewis hit a laser to LF for a HR. Better to hit in ST than not.

    The things he doesn’t do well defensively are much limited at 1B. He has a poor arm, he struggles with the transfer and has at best average range at 2B. You dont have to make many throws at 1B and range is a step and a dive either direction. I actually think he would be ok to good defensively at 1B. Julien is similar to Jeff Kent defensively.

    I don’t think Julien getting back to ‘23 form is out of the question. He did not adjust last season and the power disappeared. I think an adjustment to being more aggressive early in counts and looking for pitches to drive. (Some Jason Kubel guess swings is ok). A lot of that comes down to coaching and implementing a plan. Defensively The Twins need to move Julien to 1B. The Twins have some really good options at 2B going forward and Julien will never be a good defender there. Move Julien to 1B let him learn the footwork and movement needed for 1B and removes his biggest weakness at 2B his arm.

    His low 3/4 delivery (almost sidearm) with good deception makes me think reliever in the future. Seems like a guys who could focus on 3 pitches but Keep trotting him out as a starter till it doesn’t work.

    No Will Holland on the list? They were looking for a back up SS, he has been a solid defensive SS at AAA and actually hit .300 last season with speed and the ability to fill in the outfield. Could see injuries and him get a MLB opportunity

    The Saints might have the most excited roster in town!!! Could possibly have C. Camargo 1B Julien 2B Keaschell SS Holland OF ERod, Kiersey, MCCusker
