  1. Royce plays 3B and learns from Correa, who plays SS. Correa is the master at SS.
  2. There is something unjust about Correa getting injured twice. I only played high school baseball, but if my team-mate was hit, as the next batter after a home run, with one of the few fastballs thrown by a junk ball pitcher, and that same team-mate was hit again in his next at bat, and it was a team-mate who had been loudly booed by opposing teams' fans in every away game so far this year, my team-mates and I would want to retaliate against the Orioles in some way. Correa getting injured in this manner is almost like some sort of Greek trajedy ...I call what happened to Correa, "Buxtonesque".
  3. It must be rare because Dan Gladden and Thad Levine both said solo HR's don't beat you, after one of the Orioles 5 solo HR's.
  4. Thanks to the owners and moderators and contributors and posters, this is a great website.
  5. Wouldn't it be great if we all showed up for the World Series in Minneapolis with our rally goats. My rally goat had hair that was a little too long, so I took him to a Baa baa shop for a trim.
  6. I received my rally goat from Amazon yesterday. So far, it's working to perfection. Baaa.
  7. I received my screaming rally goat yesterday. It is awesome.

Screaming rally goat? I mean, I know the screaming rally goat exists, not sure how I'm involved in this. Not being snarky, legit confused.

My bad. I was excited to receive the goat and my wife was not impressed, so I felt I would tell all of TD that I got the goat. Instead, I posted in the wrong place. I meant to post it where everyone on TD could read it. Sorry.

@tarheeltwinsfan I understand. You temporarily lost your mind over a screaming goat. It happens to the best of us.

  8. I would like Duran to become a starter next year. Foe 2022, leave him where his is as a primary reliever.
  9. Hooray for Ricky, the screaming rally goat. None of this would have happened without him. Thanks for the great summary of a great week in Twinsville.
  10. Good article. Thanks. Plus Chris has Ricky, the Screaming Rally Goat. I ordered my Wednesday. It is scheduled to arrive today. Baaa !
  11. My suggestion is to eliminate the last two words in the title of your article.
  12. Really great statement. "When was the last time we could say that?" Wow the starters are doing outstanding jobs. I just ordered a screaming goat from Amazon. The theory is that screaming goats bring good luck. Keep screaming Ricky.
  13. The "high exit velo" advanced metrics do not take into consideration slow running. Nor failure to hustle. Nor poor base running decisions. If a player runs slowly, he will make an out more often than a speedy runner, even if they have the same exit velo. 1) slow running, or 2) swinging and missing the baseball or 3) taking strikes, or 4) continuously hitting the balls where the majority of the defenders are standing...these 4 examples have nothing to do with "luck". I'm not saying Mr. Sano does all or any of these examples. Just saying.
  14. No way I'm slapping a man that size upside the head.
  15. Buck's quote after Saturday's game , in response to Dick Bremer telling Buck to "Go out tomorrow and do it again" , was a grin from Buck and a positive statement: "We will." How prophetic.
  16. Plus it is best to go the other way now, during these cold wet days when the ball won't travel as far anyway and hopefully the opponents will see and stop the exaggerated shifts against him, so that when it is warm, and the baseballs are flying far, Kep can be pulling balls into the RF stands again.
  17. True, but Buck was the only one playing who hit the ball there.
  18. Steve, I'm glad you mentioned that walk. Godoy was not supposed to be on the Twins. He was not supposed to play tonight. Although he looked over-matched batting, and he messed up a bunt, he drew 2 critical walks and scored both times. Mainly though, he performed more than adequately behind the plate with pitchers who were virtually strangers, who were pitching to him. I thought, given the circumstances, he was a huge contributor to today's victory.
