  1. Thank you. I agree there are numerous variables at play here. Frankly, I feel really good about the Twins' catching. I appreciate each of the 3 catchers, each of whom has different strengths and weaknesses. I appreciate your posting this for me to see.
  2. Tom, How was Astudillo's pitch framing in this game. You were able to compare Castro and Garver in games 1 and 2. Could you compare all 3 catchers in the first 3 games?
  3. You got to admit that the Indians starting pitching was the A+ team. And the Twins beat them...should have/could have won Saturday.
  4. I too thought about Rocco's decision to not pinch run for Cruz at the time. I quickly concluded that in a 0 to 0 game in the 7th, the Twins may need Cruz to bat again. Kluber was rocking with an extremely low pitch count at the time. I thought that Kluber could possibly still be pitching when Cruz's next at bat came up and I wanted Cruz to hit again, if necessary. Also I had read on TD that someone had been impressed with Cruz on the base paths...not for his speed, but for his savvy base running. So I left him in the game, even after the announcers discussed that when Gardy managed the Twins, he may have replaced Cruz once he reached 2B. I said to the announcers, "Nope, leave Cruz in."
  5. Berrios 7 strikeouts Rogers 2 strikeouts Castro 4 strikeouts... Great pitch framing by Castro.
  6. Thanks TD writers for an interesting "off season". My winter would be dreary, cold, icy and damp without the warm daily sunshine of Twins Daily. Now let's play ball and kick Cleveland's butt.
  7. Ouch ! It's the week of Opening Day. We're in first place. Spring is here. As the Tams used to sing: "Be young, Be foolish. Be Happy."
  8. Good news for several fan favorites who were on the bubble.
  9. Ted, I hope you are wrong...but unfortunately your article made a lot of sense to me. .
  10. I agree. It is a nice lineup. Q, Which 2 teams have the most HR in spring training this year? A. Yankees and Twins
  11. "bursts of brilliance balanced by stretches of steady solidness". Thanks for thinking of these actually awesome alliterations .
  12. Let's ask a sports orthopedist and a sports physical trainer about the effects on a catcher's knees, ankles, and hips with these "one leg down" or "both legs down" stances vs. the catching stances of crouching. Also at what age should a pre-teen catcher or a teen catcher begin these new stances? Are there any potential negative effects on the growth plates in the legs? Who are some medical people and physical trainers the TD staff could interview about this? Just wondering.
