  1. If he was ready. He hasn't proved anything in St Paul to deserve a call up. I would give Dobnak a call up before Raya.
  2. Funderburk will stay up, Wentz will get DFA, and Conner Gillipse will get the start. Raya isn't ready so there's no point in calling him up.
  3. He was only promoted because he's on the 40 man roster. Pretty sure he gave up 6 runs in his last start with St Paul.
  4. Deal Paddack while he's hot at the deadline. The team isn't going any where and why not capitalize on a pending free agent.
  5. Royce fell in love with the long ball and that's all he's trying for now with no real results. Just try to get a few hits to build up the confidence that's gone.
  6. Denny Green said it right, "they are who we thought they were" Just as well let them rot in St Paul if they can't figure it out and if they are still lost causes after the season they may as well remove them from the 40 man roster and see if anyone wants them.
  7. Remember when Miranda came up and hit people were calling for him to be signed to a long term extension to lock him up for multiple years. Let them both play in St Paul and let them earn a promotion. If they don't so be it. There's no trade value for either player right now. If they don't recover this year you simply cut them loose.
  8. Just curious if there are any new updates on how Payton Eeles is progressing and if there was any date when he could possibly return. When I tried to look the only news I could find was from mid March.
  9. When, not if he's fired. Technically, they are too damn cheap to fire Rocco and then have to pay him and his replacement. So fear not, Rocco is as safe as if he just won back to back World Series.
  10. It's April 8th and lets see if Buck can last until June 1st before we start talking about anything.
  11. Please remember they just beat a AAAA team. It's embarrassing to see how bad the White Sox have become.
  12. The Pohlad's will still own the team until 2027. They will finally find a buyer after the lockout and new CBA.
  13. Martin Perez is the #1 starting pitcher. Pretty sure I'd take Zebby or Festa over him. Do you clearly know who is on the White Sox right now?
  14. Anyone else think St Paul might have better starting pitchers than the White Sox do?
  15. He wouldn't be DFA. He will be returned to Philadelphia.
  16. Unless your starters can go 6-7 innings nearly every game you would end up burning out your bullpen arms to keep a promising player. This is something a team like the White Sox can do, not the Twins. If the Twins truly like him try to work out a trade for him.
  17. Pretty sure tendons don't grow. Tendons do not increase significantly in size. In fact, tendons should not grow in size since it would impact the function of the joint. Tendons also do not receive the same quantity of blood supply that muscles do. Exercise can enlarge the tendon just as it does the muscle, although the collagen fibers don’t increase in size.
  18. Great point. I always say muscles grow but the tendons and ligaments stay the same. A player gets too strong it puts too much on the body and something has to give.
  19. You are forgetting about Willi Castro. With Harrison Bader now with the Twins Castro is delegated to the infield unless there are major injuries in the OF>
  20. I think it's because of all the weight training. Guys are too strong for their own good. I always remember Bert talking about all the running he did. I know nothing about how the human bodies muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc work. But guys never seemed to miss so many games before weights became such a big part of conditioning.
  21. 50/50 chance of a lockout? Try like 95% chance and I'm being generous leaving 5% off. With all the things that have happened there will be a lockout for sure. The Dodgers and all their things they have done almost alone will make it happen. Then you have all the TV deals that fell apart and now ESPN on the way out MLB will most likely try to make teams pool the money and there's no way the large markets are going to give up their golden geese. As hard as it is the write MLB needs a lockout to get their stuff together and hopefully not lose any games in the process. So if I was looking to buy a team there's no way I'm doing anything until the new labor deal is final. So a couple more years to go.
