  1. Well said. The big thing about Lee since August 1st he actually knows where he is playing every day. I said this and people said that it doesn't matter, which I clearly disagree with. With Lee being the starting shortstop he knows what he needs to work on and focus on that alone. It also will help him at the plate since his head is clear knowing he's in the lineup every day at short.
  2. A good role could be like first man out of the pen after a short start from a starter or whatever you want to call it. He could also be a nice pitcher to eat up some innings after the bullpen has been over used. You bring him in the 5th or 6th inning and let him go 2-3 innings three times a week. If effective he will save a bullpen from over use.
  3. That's not the question. The question was if Falvey went rogue and did all the trades without the Pohlads knowledge.
  4. Why? Because Falvey did what he was told to do? If Falvey went rogue and went overboard with the fire sale he most likely would have been fired. The deadline has passed and what do they really need him for until the season is over.
  5. I tried asking on reddit but made the mistake of talking about the players that were acquired at the deadline. I would like to see if there's a list out there for all Twins prospects that need to be protected this winter. There will be many open spots on the 40 man roster for sure. Guys like Julien, McCusker. Keirsey, and half the pen can easily be removed.
  6. The first thing is we have no idea what was the exact details involved.
  7. I never said I believed it, I just said with a new owner. If there was someone interested in buying them it would have been done by now.
  8. I still don't think they are close to having a buyer for the team. A huge line of crap from Rob Manfred and everyone else saying it. As for a new owner not wanting to win right away would make no sense. Why buy a team and not want to win as soon as they could. I still won't understand why they destroyed the pen the way they did. Nobody was making big money and only Coulmbe was going to be a free agent.
  9. I did say with there being a new owner. So I can't see a new owner continuing to sell off even more. It wouldn't make sense to spend 1.7 billion and not want to win right away.
  10. Lets just start this with the hope/dream there is a new owner by the end of the World Series and there's not a fire sale the Twins have 8 possible starters for 2026 so they could take a couple of them and move them to the pen like they did with Varland and Jax. 1. Pablo Lopez 2. Joe Ryan 3. Baley Ober 4. Zebby Matthews 5. SWR 6. David Festa 7. Taj Bradley 8. Mick Abel I know they might be better off trading them over converting them to a bullpen arm. They could easily start to fix this bullpen moving a couple of them to the pen. David Festa would be the leading candidate for sure and could become a great RP knowing he's only going to go one inning. I don't think they know what to think of Bradley & Abel until they see more of them. Bradley has been a decent starter at times and maybe a change of scenery may do wonders for him.
  11. You got me there. Not sure why Urena was starting today. I guess with all the injuries it's technically Festa's spot. So I'm with you, Bradley should have got this start. The only reason not to give it to Bradley would be when he last pitched.
  12. I agree with you about Wallner. The only issue is he has a cannon for an arm and it would be wasted at 1st. If I was Wallner I would be volunteering to try to learn to play 1st since there's no real 1st base prospects in the organization that are any where close to the majors.
  13. Guys like Jenkins, Culpepper, and E-Rod won't get called up for service time reasons. They are tanking so why start their clock early?
  14. Why wouldn't a new owner want to not win right away? We just need new owners before the Winter Meetings or the Pohlad's could really burn this roster to the ground. The Twins could compete in 2026 if they fix the bullpen. Maybe they take 2 of the young starters like Abel & Festa and turn them into Varland & Jax.
  15. I have no problem putting Bradley in St Paul. There are no spots open in the rotation and I would rather have him get his normal work in over putting him in the bullpen.
  16. I'll make 80% blame on coaching staff and 20% on Kiersey. He should know speed is his best skill and that he should have seeked out help on his own to learn how to bunt.
  17. You would think even in their old ages Tony Oliva & Rod Carew could teach everyone a thing or 2 about bunting.
  18. Who taught Keirsey how to bunt? I thought he was going to lose a finger up there. I can't believe how a guy who is on the team because of his speed doesn't know how to bunt.
  19. Falvey only did as he was told. I can't think of any owner just letting a GM make the choices on their own especially when it's a fire sale.
  20. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/07/cubs-designate-ryan-pressly-for-assignment.html If he clears waivers. Someone has to close. If they claimed him I would think he would cost like 5m for the rest of the year.
  21. It's a good way to get a catching prospect. My only concern is that teams will value catchers higher than most positions.
  22. Lee just needs to play one position so he can focus on his hitting. I could care less about any power out of Lee, just let him spray the ball around the field. I think people are forgetting about him just being drafted in 2022 and he has been in the majors for 2 years. How many times have top picks never made it to AAA, let alone the majors?
  23. Most of the Dodgers prospects are in the low level minors. I would rather use them as leverage to get some better prospects from another team that are closer to the majors.
