  1. I'd certainly be wondering if this FO has any idea what they are doing, or any interest in winning while I am an employee...
  2. At what point do we get to start judging the FO and their awesome pitching acumen?
  3. Frankly, for their sake, I hope they both get PAID. I don't care about the Pohlads having more money. The only reason I want an extension is so they get PAID, and the team has them around longer. But I want them to get their fair money.
  4. For a few months now, I've been considering being super active in 1 of my retirement accounts. Betting, say, 50K on one stock the day before an earnings announcement, then selling it the next day, and re-diversifying. Had I done that, I'd have quite a bit more money right now. So far, I've been right 4 of 5 times I've thought about it. And, since there are no tax consequences.....but, then I recall that no one can really do this and win in the long run. So, I don't. But I feel a bit emboldened right now.... talk me out of being stupid.
  5. Until someone builds better chips...... Wish I had just bet it all there last year, instead of A LOT on it.....
  6. Just got more spam from the motley fool. Somehow workday is in the "final 8" for the future of internet type stocks, and Shopify isn't. Mind. Boggling. don't get me wrong, I like workday, but it isn't Shopify. and yes, even since I put more into Shop, it's gone up and up. I admit, this is largely luck.
  7. Sigh. Not having cash a few months ago is looking like a real bummer, given it all would have gone into BIT COINS. wow, Dave must be rich by now.
  8. I'm seeing a former top 5 pick, that has struggled in one of the worst systems at developing pitchers in some time.....that's the kind of guy you take a flyer on, not the types MN has done the last few years, bringing in mediocre guys without pedigrees.
  9. right, don't hold him back, but that injury risk is legit, imo.
  10. Plenty of chafe in AAA that could be winnowed out for Burdi and Melo at this point.
  11. Sano. IMO, he's a lot less risky as a hitter. And, he doesn't run into walls 2-5 times a year.
  12. Burdi should be in AAA now. He's too good for AA hitters. But then, I think guys should be at a level that challenges them, and this organization (nearly all of whom are still here) has never really operated that way.
  13. Fair. And, I've been open to re-thinking my position, based on the list of pitchers supplied above. I know that if he was a FA, and my team sucked, I would be thrilled to carry him on the 25 man roster for a year as a RP. Thrilled.
  14. so, next year when the world ends, I'm good to complain?
  15. Loved that pizza, when the dough was not under cooked
  16. Quietest joooooonnnnnrrrrrrooooonnnnn ever. I approve, as if that matters
  17. I'll commit right now to not saying they were idiots if they pick Greene, McKay, or Wright and let them pitch. I might say they were wrong, and maybe the need some new scouts (assuming they are the same scouts that have been picking pitching here for years)......but I think all three of those are justifiable picks, if they think they are legit #1 pitcher types.
  18. Perhaps, but I'm not such an employee, and can only go off what we know/read/hear.
  19. if you can get a random ball player for a guy you were going to cut, you won. Doesn't mean the other team lost, btw......
  20. You realize almost no one hits .280 anymore, right?
  21. I guess you could look for evidence that's the best way.....but that seems like a lot of unnecessary work to me.
  22. Nope. There is a reason pitchers pitch on their off days, and chart pitches on their off days, and rest on their off days. I'd guess the cycle is nearly identical (within an org) for each pitcher. It's not random that they have these cycles, teams believe that this works for their players. Disrupting that by adding more batting practice, base running, fielding, etc....that's a disruption to a routine that MiLB and MLB have in place.
