  1. As disappointing as foundation is, wheel of time just gets better every episode. And we are laughing a lot with mythic quest. I really like morning show, but they bit off so much in year two.
  2. Sure, which happens in a couple days.......I don't want Cave back, but it really isn't hard to understand why he's signed.
  3. I think he answered that. The value of the certainty that he's there if they need him. Especially if the lockout lasts close to the beginning of the season.
  4. If I was pushing bets, I'd bet Cave is on the roster. And that makes me sad.
  5. It's inexcusable. He's been terrible for two years. They have multiple OFers. Just awful.
  6. It's fine. Not my favorite, not the worst show. I really enjoy the Empire characters, but the rest are just plain boring. I have not watched EP 10 yet.....but ya, that's what I'm talking about. Wheel of Time was good so far. Unless you love the book and hate changes, of course, in which case, get a life.....
  7. How so? The worst teams get to add more players before the best teams add one. The money is capped, so the rich can't outbid the others. The money is a bit more, but not much, than teams currently spend in a draft.
  8. Here you go https://mikesixel.com/fixing-the-mlb-draft-part-one/
  9. Really? I guess we'll disagree. It's much better than losing ninety games.
  10. Roster space. Opportunity. Budget. What's the point of bringing him back?
  11. So....I should trust those sites, all of whom have highly regarded Yankees' prospects? Do people read "national writers" to get opinions about prospects? I'm really not sure of your point here. Also, I'd guess Towns would like to be on a winner.
  12. not even one bit. Sano, Donaldson, Rooker, Larnach, Garver all say hello. If they spend money to get better in the short term, it 100% should not be on a DH only. If they go after on batter, it better be a SS.
  13. You think fangraphs, baseball America and Keith law, among others, are somehow tricked by the Yankees into over rating prospects? We'll just disagree on that I guess.
  14. Sure, but that wasn't at all the point of my post.
  15. The Yankees do. Easy. They have two highly rated SS, including one that played a bit at AAA. They also have some pitching.
  16. They're getting a lot more than Joe Ryan for Buxton. Think something like what Berrios brought, if the Twins take back a salary.
  17. It was a joke. Not to be taken seriously. This is, after all, a place to talk about something that has no real bearing on our lives, for fun. I agree with your other post that we should also not drink when people think the twins are stupid. We'd all be dead. Really, it's just not that serious, or shouldn't be, here. Or, it can. I'm ok if others want to take sports seriously.
  18. If they wouldn't go past 100 with incentives, they will never go big on any deal. And, since they've not shown the ability to draft and develop... Good luck to them and the fans.
  19. Winning two division titles now means nothing? How was the team before that?
  20. don't start drinking every time they point out their business experience. We want you around a few more years...
  21. I mean, I've suggested this for years for bad teams...... 2 "real starters", maybe even 1 "bad" one as your fifth pitcher. 7-10 pitchers in the majors and AAA that pitch 3 or so innings each. You need 2-3 of those a game, plus your bullpen. Each pitcher needs less pitches to succeed in this, because the hitters don't see them more than twice, ever. They can go more all out every outing. It is about as likely, or more, to work as having 3 terrible starting pitchers on the roster......maybe even better because you can plan for the short outings.
