  1. 100 games? No shot. They are projected for 80 wins, for example, on Fangraphs. I don't love this roster, but it isn't a dumpster fire.
  2. I like Larnach and eventually Martin better than any of those LF options. I would happily take either SS on a 5 or 6 year deal. Not interested in any of those starting pitchers. I'd rather deal for one. I have no idea what they should do with the bullpen, given all the pitchers on the 40 man.
  3. They won two division titles so far. Let me ask you seriously....do you think they are clueless, or that you disagree with some of their decisions?
  4. Kiriloff is not a AAA player. Gordon is a backup, what do you expect? Larnach? Not sure on him yet. Rooker? I'm not a fan, but he's at least a AAAA player, so sure? How many teams do you think don't have players of this quality on their roster? Maybe one of those guys is a starter, maybe. On larnarch and Jeffers.... Your post reads to me like you don't want young players on the roster. Imo, that's not realistic. At some point, you have to give those players a shot.
  5. I'll bite. Which position players are AAA players? (Gordon and Rooker are AAAA or MLB players, other than that?)
  6. Isn't the plan B for nearly every team AAA players? Outside the super wealthy teams, that seems like every team's plan B. I'd be thrilled if Rooker is in Plan B, rather than A. I could be wrong about him, but I just don't seem him playing decent D anywhere. And they have plenty of DH options....
  7. No one said give them the benefit of the doubt....how about not assuming the worst as an option? Wait, they signed Buxton, but you think they didn't want to? I'm very confused, given that trading Berrios somehow proved they didn't want to sign him.
  8. Or, Berrios didn't want to sign here. Or, he changed his mind about not testing FA for some unknown reason. We really have no idea.
  9. Not in 1000 years. Give me Martin and SWR over Petty 100 days out of 100.
  10. You kind of left off getting Martin and SWR in your analysis there....... I'd deal Berrios and Petty for Gray and Martin and SWR. Especially if Berrios didn't want to sign an extension. Also, Gray costs less next year than Berrios.
  11. Gore hasn't been able to throw strikes for three years. I'd deal Larnach straight up for just him....but I'd not take Hosmer. No way.
  12. The twins literally won the division two years in a row, and had their highest payrolls (league median) the last few years. They aren't comparable to CO at all. Not even close. Not even a little close. One team in this division is projected to be over .500 this year. That's not comparable to the NL West at all.
  13. Weren't you the guy saying the players should take MLB's first, crappy, offer? The one that would have given them less money, and therefore owners more money?
  14. The three defensive rating systems disagree about his ability......I'd look at all three to figure it out. One says good, one says average, one says bad. That's kind of amazing, really.
  15. Did you know Zips projected Sanchez for less WAR than Rortverdt? Yikes. I'll give you 2 years of Urshela (or two, I guess).....
  16. Good point on Bundy. No idea why I counted him as a starter. If he gets more than 6 starts, I'll be surprised.
  17. I count 4 starters right now....leaving the last spot for them to cycle thru, plus injuries. Unless they are getting a GOOD SP, I don't understand adding one. They HAVE TO cycle thru these guys to see who looks legit in the Show. Yes, they will need a lot of them...but they have like 5 to test. Plus, Pineda isn't exactly Iron Mike.
  18. Only if you get something in return.....which, they did get two pretty lowly rated prospects too? They also took on Sanchez....
  19. That's 30 games a year.......Want to bet who puts up more WAR the next year?
  20. Garver is much better than Sanchez the last few years. Not even close, when you take into account D and O. Like, twice as good.
  21. I don't understand the obsession with Pineda coming back. He's a 4 at best at this point.
  22. Given what the A's just did (getting a great C prospect)....I think the Twins get a SP and C from the A's, most likely today or tomorrow.
