  1. Just put Wallner in RF (and deal Kepler for a prospect). Find a right handed hitting OF for left/center if you really want another OF.....but they have a lot of options (not to mention Austin Martin) already in the system. They should be looking at DH / C / SP / SS.
  2. Not a fan, but I wouldn't hate it either....but I don't see any of them as difference makers (so how are they better than what they have?).
  3. There just aren't that many good catchers in the league......I'd spend resources elsewhere for sure. It is very unlikely they can be much better than any other team at catcher....but there are great players at other positions they can get/develop/sign....
  4. Lewis played center in the AFL. He wasn't hurt from playing center.
  5. At least double that for Swanson. At least.
  6. Lewis had been hurt for three years.... You willing to bet he's going to stay healthy and not be Buxton? Similarly, Rodon was hurt each of the two years before this.... That's some serious risk for a pitcher.
  7. This is one article.... They have spent the most ever the last few years.
  8. Agreed. Who else are they going to pay any time soon? In a year, will they have anyone even making ten million other than Buxton? Kepler will be gone. So the veteran pitchers, gone. Polanco doesn't make that.
  9. I'd likely put Ryan over Gray, but it would be close. Otherwise, this would be my ballot also. Highly conflicted on Buxton..... He was awesome when he did play....
  10. Well deserved! I'm hopeful for slightly more next year.
  11. There is one good catcher in free agency. He's 31 and is only ok defensively. I don't think people realize how barren the options are......
  12. Do you have any evidence more CF get hurt than other positions?
  13. No one knew Gordon would do this when Lewis was moved. No one. Also, explain the danger? There is no evidence that it is any more dangerous than other positions.
  14. Injuries are tough.... I'm good with them bringing him in, but it is not without risk..... My post was really about the board, not the pitcher.....
  15. How is center field hazardous? They desperately needed a backup for Buxton. I think people are off on Wallner and his defense. I agree he should have been up much earlier. Miranda and his D make me more nervous, but he's the safest bet to hit. I agree he is a league average first baseman or DH most likely, but I bet he plays more than a little third next year. The other three should not be on the forty man roster to start next year.
  16. People do realize Rodon was hurt the two years before this? The exact kind of guy people rip the FO for acquiring?
  17. Great list. For me, cut Pagan. He's been awful for three years. His stuff just doesnt work. Acquire a very good starter. No cheap reclamation starters this year. I don't care how they talk,I don't listen to that stuff. But, if they do talk, they need to not be aloof.
