  1. I can't see them offering anyone a multi year deal at SS. They'll see what they have in Lewis and Martin this year. And, if they still need one next year, sign one of the great FA SS next year (not that there will be any good FA SS next year).
  2. Which prospects do people think will start in MN day 1? Because they 100% aren't contending with that idea, not with the ones that have pitched in MN before. Leading one to wonder what they plan to do with some of the veteran hitters, who are not worth anything next year if they aren't contending..... I mean, if the plan is to use Jax and Thorpe and ?.......then shouldn't part of the plan to be to trade veterans for more prospects?
  3. Is that a serious question? Do you really think that was what that post was about?
  4. As long as he's healthy some year when they bother having pitching...... So next year isn't important, imo.
  5. Cheap, short term, bad pitcher. That's all this from office signs. Ugh.
  6. Who's playing CF in AAA? Cave or Celestino, because if it's Cave.....
  7. As opposed to what? They have Martin, Lewis, Larnach, Kepler, Buxton, Rooker..... He's not a starter unless two of those are hurt or traded. One of Martin or Lewis is an OF long term or traded. Maybe both. At what point is he up? He's as good as Cave offensively, and better defensively.
  8. They've been linked to top free agents forever. They've signed a few, in decades.
  9. Yawn. They've been linked to more people than Lindsay Lohan over the years......
  10. By this logic, every signing could come with regret. They could sign anyone, and that player could get hurt, or just be bad. They could sign Ray for $15MM a year, and he could get hurt.....should we look at that signing and judge it when it is done, or after the fact? If after the fact, then we just don't agree on how one should judge people's actions. Which is fine. It isn't irrational to look at the deal, with the knowledge we have at the time it was signed, and think it is a good deal.
  11. I'd prefer martin in left full time. Unless they really think he's a shortstop. I'd prefer Celestino be the backup, certainly over Cave. They didn't play Kepler there last year, so I'm guessing he's not there this year.
  12. Agreed. It was the right decision. I guess we could be disagreeing over the pedantic meaning of regret. If only we could, as Chief is, enjoy them doing what most of us wanted, and not get all, something, about the future...
  13. This is a great deal for the Twins. Like, much cheaper than I'd thought for sure. Leaves plenty of room for a SP or two......
  14. We don't always agree, but when we do, we DO! 100% on this post.
  15. As disappointing as foundation is, wheel of time just gets better every episode. And we are laughing a lot with mythic quest. I really like morning show, but they bit off so much in year two.
  16. Sure, which happens in a couple days.......I don't want Cave back, but it really isn't hard to understand why he's signed.
  17. I think he answered that. The value of the certainty that he's there if they need him. Especially if the lockout lasts close to the beginning of the season.
  18. If I was pushing bets, I'd bet Cave is on the roster. And that makes me sad.
  19. It's inexcusable. He's been terrible for two years. They have multiple OFers. Just awful.
  20. It's fine. Not my favorite, not the worst show. I really enjoy the Empire characters, but the rest are just plain boring. I have not watched EP 10 yet.....but ya, that's what I'm talking about. Wheel of Time was good so far. Unless you love the book and hate changes, of course, in which case, get a life.....
  21. How so? The worst teams get to add more players before the best teams add one. The money is capped, so the rich can't outbid the others. The money is a bit more, but not much, than teams currently spend in a draft.
