  1. Ridiculous. I couldn't even read it, the premise is so silly. I did read major league ready's response, which was correct.
  2. I like the Lee promotion. Any news on Preilip (sp?)?
  3. Truth. And the fact the people post otherwise just shows they aren't making a well thought out argument at all.
  4. I was certainly expecting, let alone hoping for, more. He's not bad, he's just not elite so far this year. Which they need.
  5. Not quite done yet, but The Sandman might be the best tv ever (though I dreaded episode 5, given the audio book version was DARK even for Gaiman). There just is no weak point in the show. No bad moment, or writing, or acting. It is great tv from second to second.
  6. Good luck to him! It would be great if he can play baseball.... But I just want him healthy for his sake.
  7. Couldn't disagree more. About fifty fifty positive and negative comments after another win against one of the better teams in the majors....
  8. I think it is about 25% he stays right now. He's been good, bit not great. There are other superstar SS FA next year.
  9. Iiirc, that's largely because of Archer. Yes, I think there are times they could go further. But to give Verlander as an example of today's baseball? Yesterday it was clear the starter was struggling, do people think he should have pitched another inning?
  10. It's pretty mind blowing with B at this point. I wonder if he's suffering from what happened to Ankiel. Just too much inner chatter
  11. I'm going to assume you aren't trolling and know he's an exception.
  12. I just think these guys, and this is clearly my opinion based on anecdotal observation, have a better shot at money and careers if moved to relief sooner rather than later. See Jax, as an example.
  13. I'd like to see those two in high A this year..... And wonder about funderburk maybe moving to RP and getting more out of his pitches....
  14. Of course, neither of those is a thing at all..... And what makes you think it is physical, and not something else? My issues are twofold.... Not every damn thread needs to be complaining about something that won't change. Every thread. Over and over and over. Second, this is how baseball is played, and it isn't a Rocco issue at all, but a twins/MLB decision. Complain, occasionally, about the game changing, but stop saying this is on Rocco.
  15. Y'all realize it's the front office and the manager that manage the starters this way.... Or that almost no pitchers average 6 innings per start? Anyone here actually look at the rest of baseball?
  16. There isn't one person in baseball that agrees with your assessment of the prices paid. Wow.
  17. It would be cool if one thread on this site could not be about the manager and how he manages the pitchers. Just one thread.
  18. I'm changing my grade to A. The Padres have traded 66 prospects in the last few years, and are projected to be the best NL team the rest of the year. That might not happen, of course, but they've put themselves in that position. The twins didn't go that far, they still have nearly all their top prospects. But, they shored up their biggest weaknesses for this year and next, while giving up good, but not elite, prospects. It's hard to understand anyone not liking the base of players on this roster for this year and next. My impression of the FO definitely improved this week.
  19. I agree with that last part....he should not be on the roster if he can't play. Well, pretty much your whole post.
