    I don't know. We have no idea why they played better. But awful teams win sometimes, and great ones lose, so I think it's more likely they just played better. And had three important starters back. But I could be wrong!

    Prefer the Phillies deal, but it is hard to say w/o knowing what was offered. I don't think the Twins need a bad defensive OFer at this point (or in the next 5 years).

    As I said earlier, I'd have worked hard to deal Hockenson and somewhat to deal Addison....but I get why neither was. I would have gladly dealt a mid round pick for a DB, since this FO SUCKS at drafting.....

    Also, this is the org that kept Martin at SS for no reason, and is doing so with Winokur....I don't trust them to get more SS.....

    I'm all in on OF and SP, since you need more than 1. Lots more than 1. They have limited assets, and have Culpeper and Houston (and to a lesser extent Lee) they clearly believe in. If I am dealing Ryan, I want OF and SP back, or a C, since they have none after next year basically. You can't play w/o a C. I'm happy to disagree here.....that's ok with me.

    He's talking about acquiring a SS that is already in the majors. If that's a good idea, in confused as to the plan for next year. Using one of the best players in the game as an example is silly.

    They have limited assets and two SS they believe in. If you need lots of things, you don't use limited assets on things you expect to have in half a year.

    It would be insane to use assets to acquire a SS if you have Culpeper and Houston.

    I count 35 AA (or more advanced) players ranked 50 or higher by Fangraphs on playoff teams or teams even close to playoffs (no teams in the Twins division included). The Mets have an amazing 6 of those,, three of which are SP. That's your target, IMO. Most teams have 1-3 at most. It will be VERY hard to get multiple highly rated prospects from most teams because of that.....IF you want players that will be in MN in 26 or 27.

    Interesting. But KOC needs to tell him before those plays not to pass? But then, it's not like they talked..... That would change my thoughts on the coaching.

    Mostly in tech..... But I have a large chunk of cash earning 4.5 percent for a few months while I try to figure it what to do with it. Regret a few decisions earlier this year, but overall pretty good, other than unh refusing to recover.

    Still think of they can get a first for Addison they need to do it. If they could get a taker for hockenson, trade him for the salary relief. Though that could wait for the off season. I'd love to deal anything past a third for a DB or two.
