  1. Why are they trading him for a guy that far away? I doubt they do that.
  2. I just did NOT think Julien would turn out this way at all.
  3. control----throws strikes. command ----throws the ball WHERE he wants. Usually strikes.
  4. Recently someone here posted the Twins did nothing to replace BAder and CAstro.....looking at their play this year, glad they are gone! Also, Springs has control, but not command....
  5. We don't KNOW that's why.....like, just because it happened doesn't mean it was the cause. IF it was, they should pay the new manager like 30 million, if he's worth them playing that much better. More value than any one player.
  6. I was so wrong about him having to move to RP. Glad they didn't listen to some rando on the 'net.
  7. That pick will be 3-5 years away, vs a guy that will likely be ready next year. That's a big delta. The QO may go away. It may not. You also assume they will offer it, and that he'll decline..
  8. Fair. 27 percent on fangraphs, so a wash. Is that enough odds to keep Jeffers? I vote no, but I understand why people disagree.
  9. That's way too light for Seattle. Way too light. Also, Seattle is fading.... They might not buy. But I'm all in on your general idea.
  10. Fangraphs had them 25 and 58 right before the trade deadline. Also the OF the twins wanted isn't all that good......
  11. They have to play as well as the best AL team has all year to get to 85 wins. You think that's even thirty percent likely?
  12. Twins have to play as well as the best team in the AL has played all year, just to get to 85 wins. Who thinks that is realistic?
  13. I think this is a valid take. I just don't agree completely. But it's a valid piece of logic.
  14. Not true. There are times to go all in. Tampa never goes all in, and had a very low payroll. They are great at what they do, but they never try to get over the hump. I think stating that a front office always does the same thing, regardless of context, just isn't true, other than Tampa.
  15. You'd lock up a guy who isn't hitting all that well who plays first base? No thanks.
  16. People often forget that part, that they actually reinvested the money in a good player.
  17. My bad. Thanks. Like I said, it was a fair trade, it just didn't work.
  18. We're only counting prospects, and we're only counting Twins trades? Just want to clarify before I respond again.
