    This is the thing we don't know. But if they aren't willing to sign here, I prefer they trade Jeffers now. I'm open to keeping Ryan, but I deal him for the right package.

    Arias was a top fifty prospect on fangraphs before the trade deadline last year.

    Jeffers is a rental. They can use him at catcher and DH. I don't think it matters he's not flexible for two months. Ymmv, of course.

    They're rumored to be shopping him, because they have the best pitching prospect sitting around in the minors and need hitting. They are rumored to be shopping two starters before next year.....

    Tampa or Seattle are my hopes..... Tampa had the best farm system by far. I'm not sure what you need to include to get Forret, but he's the target there. Some combo of players for Hancock from Seattle. Id happily deal larnach if they are calling up Jenkins. If not, I'd rather deal or DFA Bell, and make Larnach the primary DH.

    I do understand why the Twins did not trade Ryan with 2.5 years left. It's just a bummer they didn't take that deal.

    Sure. But it will cost 25-30 million a year for six years, past age 35..... Seems unlikely they'll do that.

    I think they trade zero guys on the roster. Wallner is moved for an A ball pitcher, and they move a middling prospect for a RP. Except one of the backup catchers, who will be traded. They have some great young pitching on this team.

    I totally understand why people want to keep Jeffers. If he'll take a three year deal for like 15 a year? I do that, sure. I just doubt it, and it's why I deal him for a AA SP in the 50-120 range, even if I have to throw in a low level SP from MN to do that. But I get why others disagree. I think the SEA dream might be dead, as they seem to be fading....

    What would you pay him, not knowing what the new CBA is? He's going to want 5 years, likely can get 4 on the open market.
