  1. Just like holding Kepler was brilliant....
  2. Sure, but that has nothing to do with what I posted?
  3. The Dodgers failed to build a bullpen last year, and you think the the TWins can build one basically from scratch? I find that very hard to believe.
  4. I mean, almost no one has 160 hit players. Only 28 players did that last year..... I am not, however, in disagreement on the hitting development at all.
  5. Ya, seems odd to me, because they aren't part of the salary cap, and you'd think the Mets would buy the best one for those 5-10 extra wins......imagine why they don't? I can't.....
  6. I'd no huddle him way more....less time to think.
  7. 5 wins is still more than 95% of players.....I think we all over estimate the delta between managers, or the best would be paid A LOT more than they are, IMO.
  8. If his replacement is worth 10 wins, he should get millions of dollars. Millions. Because no player is worth that....
  9. I think this only happens, as you say, if they deal their big three and gut the payroll.....but they've literally done the opposite twice under Falvey, so, ya, good luck.
  10. I think if you squint, and they get lucky in sequencing, and Wallner and Lewis hit like stars, they could win 82 games if they find a bullpen, which good luck doing that in one year....Oh, and Lopez and Ryan need to be healthy all year, SWR and another pitcher need to improve......
  11. I've been very hard on this pick, but I think it's partly not being used correctly, as he's so raw he should rush the QB more, which he is this year. 34 th in sacks is good! Still not very good, still not worth what they gave up, but there is at least hope.
  12. So many injuries..... I would never sign a platoon bat for this team. So you either want him on the field 140 times, or find someone else you want like that.
  13. 100 to one is not even mediocre odds they will be good, is it? That's...I think they are terrible, but I can afford to tear up twenty dollars odds.
  14. Three of those guys are gone in two years. Trading them doesn't make the rebuild take longer.... I'm very confused by this post.
  15. Then they better add two hitters to this putrid offense.
  16. That front office built this core you like, so I'm very confused.
  17. Zero people have said this. I mean, I have no idea what you want if you think they can't develop players. Just, keep the ones they haven't developed?
  18. Do we think Buxton is dealt? If they deal him, they just have to deal Jeffers, Lopez, Ryan, right? AvatarJason Martinez 2:48 I'll say probably not. The price will be (and should be) ridiculously high considering how good he was in 2025 and how team-friendly the contract is for the next 3 seasons. Even if they expect to go backwards for one more season, they'd have their homegrown superstar on a competitive roster for 2027 and 2028 with a lot of young talent and (hopefully) a higher payroll that allows them to add some impact players. For Buxton, it sounds like he'd be fine with that. If they do trade him, it's really about which teams have the farm systems to acquire him. Dodgers, Mets, Red Sox all come to mind. But it will be costly. I'd guess 3 top-50 prospects and more. Has any player been dealt for three top 50 players? I doubt it. This answer seems off to me.
  19. This was just posted on Fangraphs chat (I'd take any combo of those so fast it would be immeasurable): Ethan 2:05 What’s a fair package for Pablo Lopez if the Mets were to trade for him? Jason Martinez 2:08 Starting pitching is valuable so it won't be cheap. Mets farm system is stacked, though, so they can afford it. For two seasons of Lopez, I'll say either Sproat or Tong, either Jacob Reimer, Jett Williams or AJ Ewing, and maybe a 3rd prospect with high upside but far from the big leagues.

  21. They are trying to get him heisman votes, and he's like 110th ranked prospect? It's a great story, 100% fun read for sure. I was shocked how low he was rated!
  22. Just saw a list of all their FAs, and, um, I keep 2, maybe 3, tops? They are going to need a lot of players from this draft.
